OUR LADY OF FATIMA PARISH

And IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH

October 25, 2020

PARISH MISSION:

Our Lady of Fatima and Immaculate Conception Parish is a Catholic faith community called by God to holiness. Our calling is realized in a spirit of love, unity and hospitality. As a faith community we will deepen our knowledge and love of God in Christ. We will seek to contribute our time, talent and other resources in a spirit of service, based on our Baptismal commitment, founded on the Word of God and celebrated in sacramental life, especially Eucharist.

DOMESTICEVIOLENCEAWARENESS MONTH

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. This year, the sobering reality of domestic violence is made more present due to the global pandemic. PUT NOT YOUR TRUST IN PRINCES

by Christopher Check

Speaking from his perspective as a historian, Christopher Check reminds us that the crisis of our age is cultural and in the end, spiritual. He explains that a flourishing society is not achieved through legislation or at the ballot box, but instead radiates from the family out. RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION

TAKE FIVE

Worship the God of glory

Leadership earns public honors, and the best leaders exercise humility in accepting them. Pope Francis began his papacy by donning simple attire and asking for our prayers before offering his first blessing. Genuine leadership recognizes that all authority comes from God. Today is Priesthood Sunday, honoring the multitudes of pastors who did their job this year with passion, grace, and ingenuity under

extraordinary circumstances. Pray the

Rosary’s Glorious Mysteries for those who lead us to: rise up from despair, lift our gaze upward, encounter the Spirit’s power, give ourselves body and soul, and accept honor with grace.

ADULT RELIGIOUS EDUCATION CLASSES

Classes are held in the parish library typically, every other Sunday from 9:30 AM to 10:20 AM. The class is opened to ALL adults. Please contact [email protected] or 526-4484 for information or with questions. Our next

classesareNov.1st&15th.Masks are required

TO MINIMIZE COVID-19 RISK FACTORS

Protect the health and safety of all. Temperature screening will be required for all

who enter the rectory. Please sanitize your

hands upon entering the rectory (we have hand sanitizer). Masks are required for all who are 5 years old or older. Please refrain from visiting the rectory if you have been out of the area, tested positive, are showing signs of COVID-19 or have recently had a close contact test positive. NH residents or out-of-state visitors who have traveled to/from areas outside of New England need to self-quarantine for the first 14 days after traveling before entering the rectory. Your cooperation and understanding is necessary to keep our parishioners and staff safe. Thank you!

Fr. Bob privately celebrates Mass on Wednesday mornings which gets live streamed for your spiritual participation. Access OLF/IC Facebook page to join the service. You do not need to be a Facebook member to watch the service.
