Receiving Area
Order Put-Away & Discrepancy Resolution
When there are problems receiving products, orders can be held in limbo waiting to be filled while Purchasing resolves these issues with the supplier. This process can take days, causing delays in inventory allocation, not to mention lost sales or even customers.
With Lexmark's solution, you can quickly process and deliver receiving paperwork, including orders with discrepancies, so inventory is more readily available. The discrepancy can be automatically sent to the procurement department and vendor for immediate and swift resolution.
Document Storage & Retrieval
Retrieving information from the mounds of documents, often kept in off-site storage, can be complicated if the order wasn’t filed correctly, put in the wrong folder, or possibly never even delivered. Lexmark multifunction printers (MFPs) are an easy on-boarding solution for scanning documents into electronic document management systems.
Device Consolidation
Consolidating multiple devices into a single Lexmark multifunction printer can streamline the receiving process. One MFP, coupled with Lexmark’s unique document distribution software, allows your operations to easily print, copy, fax and scan documents to an electronic file folder or to email, with just the touch of a button.

Streamline Packing Documentation
One of the most paper-intensive and error-prone processes in the warehouse is in the packing operation. Typically at least two, and often more, paper documents are required, including packing and shipping labels. Each of these documents requires a different type of printing device that often leads to miss-ships when the wrong document is sent with the wrong shipment.
Lexmark has developed a combination shipping label/packing list that eliminates the cost associated with printing multiple forms and reduces the possibility of miss-shipments.

Digital Bills of Lading
Ensure shipments move on schedule and include all the paperwork mandated by federal requirements.
The Lexmark Digital Bill of Lading solution helps provide up-to-the-minute accuracy and improves operational efficiencies. This solution electronically captures the print job, adds barcodes and prints a one-page BOL on plain paper. When the shipment is complete and signed, users simply insert the form into the scanner and select the visual icon on the color touch screen to automatically process the BOL.
This streamlined process eliminates pre-printed forms inventories, merges shipment data with form images for on-demand printing and routes documents digitally to customers, carriers, internal departments, U.S. Customs or electronic file storage. On-line access to information can result in huge cost savings, easier customer support and increased visibility.
Compliance with all federal documentation regulations is easily met for storing, archiving and retrieval, without incurring the expense of cataloging, transporting and storage of documents in remote warehouse locations. By storing documents for past shipments on the server, traditional paper-based off-site archival storage and the slow process of retrieval can be things of the past.

Lexmark RFID Laser Printer
Over 20 years ago, RFID was thought of as “rapidly becoming the system of choice.” However, it has not been until the last few years that a small number of adventurous companies successfully worked out many of the implementation issues. But even companies who have complied with customer mandates have found it difficult to justify the RFID investment.
The Lexmark T640rn, along with Lexmark’s certified solution provider partners, offers an easy solution designed to help meet these demands that is scalable and deployable across the enterprise. With the ability to encode RFID tags embedded in cut sheet media, the T640rn programs and verifies RFID tags at the same time it prints the form. Companies can track where critical or confidential documents are located as they move throughout the organization.
The Lexmark RFID Laser printer
• Up to 15 ppm RFID print speed• Standard 400 MHz processor
• 6 second time to first page
• Includes a Forms Composer card and Flash Memory

Consolidation, Security and Workflow
Managing devices, information and documents across multiple distribution centers from a central corporate headquarters can be challenging. A few key workflow solutions can help simplify this process:
Device Consolidation
Streamline vendor and contract management, as well as minimize the number and types of consumables, by maximizing device utilization. Lexmark's multifunction laser printers can eliminate the need for multiple devices such as copiers, fax machines, thermal and dot matrix printers.
Contract Scanning
Managing contract finalization and execution between corporate and remote offices can be complex. With Lexmark’s solution, contracts can be delivered electronically to the appropriate parties in seconds, increasing the ease of storage and retrieval.
Legal EDMS Integration
Lexmark provides a high-speed “on-ramp” to most document management systems to help your legal department easily import data directly into its Electronic Document Management System (EDMS). Documents are available faster, central scanning costs are eliminated and personnel can stay focused on more valuable legal issues.

Remote Network Printing
Remote Job Release
This solution offers the flexibility to hold jobs on a secure server until the job owner releases them by swiping their security badge across a proximity card reader on the printer. Print jobs can be retrieved from any printer attached to the network. Even if the area workgroup printer is unavailable, jobs can still be printed when needed from another network device.
With just the swipe of the badge on any networked printer, a list of available print jobs for the person swiping can be displayed, regardless of location of the device, for the user to choose which of their jobs they want to print. The application can easily be configured to automatically purge print jobs left on the server after a predetermined time to free up space on the server and eliminate unnecessary waste of paper.

Powerful Paper-To-Digital Solutions
Purchase Orders and Invoices
Eliminating the delays in processing accounting documentation can improve your ability to capitalize on terms and discounts, resulting in increased overall cash cycles. Invoices can be scanned at the point of receipt and archived immediately into your Electronic Document Management System (EDMS), allowing for easy retrieval by Accounts Payable, manufacturing facilities and distribution centers.
Human Resources
With the high rate of turnover in warehouse and driver personnel, it’s important to have an efficient hiring process. With Lexmark’s paper-to-digital solution, you can save time, reduce manual handling and decrease the likelihood of losing documents. Documents can be securely sent, saved or retrieved, decreasing exposure to fraud, Sarbanes-Oxley and HIPAA fines.
Remote Color Copy
Provide the capability of color copying without purchasing separate devices. Using existing Lexmark monochrome MFPs with color scanning capabilities, authorized users have the ability to direct the printing to a separate Lexmark color laser printer.

Collaboration
Coca-Cola Enterprises leverages far-reaching output strategy
to consolidate vendors and devices and reduce costs
Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc. (CCE) is the world’s largest marketer, distributor and producer of products manufactured by the Coca-Cola Company. CCE maintained about 6,000 printers which were installed over several years and purchased from a variety of manufacturers. CCE wanted to increase its ability to monitor device efficiency, location, usage, status and overall cost. Lexmark was able to provide products that met CCE’s specifications and offered the lowest five-year TCO, so CCE chose Lexmark as its sole supplier of monochrome laser printers and a provider of MFP solutions in North America.
Coca-Cola Enterprises (CCE) estimates that it has reduced its hardware costs by about 10 percent and reduced its supplies costs by 17 percent. Its Distributed Fleet Management contract with Lexmark has freed its IT staff to focus on other priorities, while providing the company with actionable information upon which to make business decisions and keep its output devices operating at optimal levels. Utilization is carefully tracked and analyzed, allowing CCE to quickly redeploy its Lexmark models to match user demand with device features and capacity.
“One of the things we truly value about our relationship with Lexmark is the continued focus on helping us reduce the amount of pages we print and our costs,” said David Bondi, former Manager of Corporate Procurement for CCE’s Business Information Services department. “The Lexmark team is diligent about suggesting new concepts and approaches that will help us achieve our business objectives.”
CCE is also implementing Lexmark’s consumables management service across the organization, eliminating the need for CCE employees to monitor, order, stock and replace consumables for printers and MFPs. CCE will gain additional time and cost savings, improving device uptime and allowing employees to focus on their jobs and not on printer-related administration tasks. Further savings will be achieved by leveraging the existing MFP devices for process and workflow efficiencies. Next, CCE will look to leverage this solution in other regions of the world, including Europe.
