disk drives to provide high performance at an affordable price. We understand the dilemma IT professionals face

when having to choose between dollar-per-IOPS vs dollar-per-GB for their storage solution. For this reason, we've

done our best to offer solutions that help our customers to best leverage flash technology by using flash as a large

caching area, automatically moving the most active data into memory-based storage.

Infortrend Hybrid Storage Solutions are a good choice for small to medium sized enterprises looking for high

performance for their business-critical workloads. As our storage systems are built from the ground up to leverage

flash, they strike the perfect balance of price and performance. Most importantly, they also provide customers with

two cache optimization options – SSD Cache and automated storage tiering – to ensure the best performance and

lowest TCO.

Another option to optimize data per formance in Infor trend hybrid storage systems is through automated storage tiering.

Unlike SSD Cache, automated storage tiering improves both read and write per formance by intelligently sor ting data into different storage tiers

according to hotness to fully leverage SSD. This occurs automatically without taking up your time or system resources, and results in up to an

increase in per formance with vastly improved capacity utilization.

With automated storage tiering, hot data is moved to high per formance SSDs while less-accessed data is stored in lower NL-SAS tiers with large

capacities where speed is less impor tant.

Users can trigger data migration by scheduling it in advance or manually after work hours to minimize per formance impact. Customers can also

choose tier migration priority (low, normal, high) to suit their application environment. By sor ting data this way, we ensure the most efficient data

distribution, allowing you to meet your requirements cost-effectively and easily.

When selecting the right hybrid storage solution, one of the options is SSD Cache.

Infor trend SSD Cache is an intelligent solution that analyzes data access behavior and recognizes hot data to automatically copy it to the SSD Cache
