2016 EXPLORE Student Application

In cities across the county young people often go to college and never return to live and work in the areas where they grew up. Diverse, young adults are looking for opportunities in areas that show promise to people who are like them. St. Louis should be that place. Nine companies and organizations in the St. Louis region partner with DAP for the EXPLORE programs because they want to help make the region more inclusive. In order to create a workforce that is innovative and attracts brilliant minds, it starts with engaging high school students of color to the careers and fields that St. Louis has to offer. In this program, students become engaged and excited about the many different careers that are within the field they are exploring. EXPLORE Program partners are enthused to work with the students and want students to make connections for future internship opportunities. These possibilities begin for these students by walking through the door on the day of the first session.
