Interconnected System (ENTSO-E) with its
242 billion kwh consumption capacity per
year and 112.846 MVA installed transformer
capacity and 50.418,4 km length of Energy
Transmission Line, has been working in
synchronous parallel with ENTSO-E since
September 18, 2010.
TEİAŞ, has the endeavor of maintaining the
electricity provided from production system
for 24 hours and every second. Our mission
is not our leave our country without electricity,
not even a second. Being aware of this
mission, in order to develop Turkish
transmission system and improve the system
performance to international standards, our
Corporation, bears the aim of carrying out its
activities throughout Turkey successfully with
its 15 Departments, 22 Directorates and 10
Load Dispatch Operation Directorates.
In this report, the summary of the activities of
TEİAŞ in 2012 is presented.

1.1 Installed Capacity of Turkish Power System as of 2012
A
t the end of 2012, the installed capacity of Turkish Power System has increased at a rate of %7,8 corresponding to 4148,3 MW according to the previous year and has been realized as 57.059,4 MW. 1096,1 MW increase at thermal power plants, 2472,3 MW at hydraulic power plants and 579,9 MW at geothermal and wind power plants have been provided.

2. INVESTMENT ACTIVITIES
2.1 Investment Program for 2012
The aim of the Investment Program for 2012 is to amend, renew and develop the electrical energy which is an essential and integral part of civilized life and to constitute a high quality electricity transmission infras-tructure and to meet the future energy demand.
Maximum allowance for Revised Investment Program of our Corporation for 2012 is 650.000 Thousand . Total of 510 nos. projects have been involved to the Investment Program for 2012.
569.125 Thousand of 650.000 Thousand assigned in 2012 has been allocated to the transmission system investments and the rest 80.875 Thousand has been allocated to the investments of Surveys, Operation, Machinery – Equipments and Vehicles group.

An expenditure of 61.784 Thousand has been made for the new transmission facilities which has not being included in TEİAŞ Investment Program and which are installed and constructed by the private sector and trans-fered to our Corporation and submitted to the fixed assets of TEİAŞ as per Electricity Market License Regulation Article No. 38 in cases that an expansion investment or new investment is required to be made.

The Provisional Acceptance was performed except 4 km section of the 154 kV line which has the same project number. It is finan-ced by the equity capital.
• Project No. 04.D03.0030, GercüşIlısuCizre -Border ETL:The contract (H.256) for 380 kV 2 x 3B 954 MCM +3B 954 MCM line, which is 50 + 81 km in length, was signed on 23.12.2011. • Project No. 99.D03.0070, Borçka – Artvin - Yusufeli ETL:The contract (H.225) for 154 kV, 2 x 1272 MCM line, which is 82 km in length was signed on 07.11.2008. The tender price is 21.975.627.70 . The contractor firm is FEYZ A.Ş. The installati-on activities are going installati-on as such: Sub Assembly: 100 %, Upper Assembly: 100 %, Wire: 94 %. The Provisional Acceptance was performed except 4,4 km section of the line which has Environmental Impact Assessment problem. It is financed by the equity capital.
• Project No. 10.D03.0650, Karasu – Kaynarca ETL:The contract (H.347) for the installation of 154 kV, 2 x 1272 + 1272 MCM line, which is 1,7+46 km in length, was signed on 25.10.2011.
