Laurent-Perrier was established in 1812, the house remains under the direction of the De Nonancourt family to this day. Laurent-Perrier pioneered the production of Ultra Brut champagne and set the benchmark for Rosé champagne using the Saignée method. DOM PÉRIGNON

Monk Dom Pérignon made it his mission to create the “best wine in the world”. This mission was expressing an outstanding visionary spirit and to be exceptionally daring at the end of the 17th century, and gave birth to the “method champenoise”. CHARLES HEIDSIECK

Charles-Camille Heidsieck set up his own champagne company in 1851. The pursuit of the highest quality was always the company’s main aim. Based in Reims, it is one of the few houses that is able to use the fabulous chalk “crayères” – cellars under the city. The “crayères” were hollowed out during Gallo-Roman times so that the chalk could be used for building.

SALON

Situated in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger in Côte des Blancs, Champagne Salon produces only one cuvée called “S”, a vintage Blanc de Blancs. At the turn of the 20th century, founder Eugène-Aimé Salon decided to produce the first pure ‘Blanc de Blancs’ champagne from three distinct microclimates of the Grand Cru Le Mesnil-sur-Oger vineyard in the Côtes des Blancs.

JACQUESSON

Memmie Jacquesson founded this house in 1798, his son Adolphe brought it to success and change the way Champagne have to be sealed forever. In fact he co-created the “muselet”, the wire basket for the Champagne cork. Jacquesson finished third in the first ever “hierarchy of Champagne house”.

ALAIN THIENOT

Champagne Thienot was created in 1985 in the centre of Reims. Thienot owns 27 hectares of vineyards, of which half is situated in 1er and Grand Cru areas. The two Cuvées Stanislas and Garance are named after Alain’s children who work closely with him. In only a few years time, Alain Thienot managed to make his House a jewel of the Champagne region, a grand house of today.

POL ROGER

PHILIPPONNAT

The Philipponnat family has been based in the Champagne region since the 17th century. After establishing themselves as vineyard owners, the Philipponnats started elaborating champagnes in the middle of the nineteenth century. Based in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, Philipponnat is specialized in making exceptional Pinot-Noir based blends such as their famous cuvée, the Clos des Goisses.

GOSSET

DEUTZ

Founded in 1838, Deutz is situated amongst the vineyards of one of the region’s greatest villages: Aÿ-Champagne. Their vineyard sources are immaculate throughout the range: even Brut Classic notches up a 97% rating on the échelle des crus, and the house can call on a lavish selection of grands crus, including Avize, Le-Mesnil-sur-Oger, and Aÿ.

Founded in the 1950s, Jacques Sélosse is one of the finest”Grower Champagne”. Anselme Sélosse, actual owner has been awarded best French wine maker by famous guide Gault & Millaut in 1994. He is a pioneer in Biodynamic wine making for Champagne and the Cuvée Substance is made with Solera system.
