Activity - Making words- write letters or words on card stock and cut apart, (3 sets) or use letters from old Scrabble game, place in baggy or storage. Students will write this in booklet. Words can be used on "word wall' or "weekly spelling words". Letters or words can also be written on index cards.

Activity - Sentence Strip- laminate sentence strips to use for beginning, middle, and ending activity for reading words, picking out and sequencing the letters in the word and writing the word.

Activity - Bulletin Board Border activities- Cut used border into small cards that you can write letters or complete words. Students will put the letters/words together to spell words or write sentences. Have students record the words or sentences that they make in this center.
