QUALITY
Our range of durable benchtops and sinks is built to withstand everyday kitchen activities for many years. We subject the benchtop surfaces to stringent testing. They have to withstand cold liquids – water for 24 hours, and oil, alcohol and coffee spills for 1 hour. We put them in a special climate chamber, impact-test the top and edges, and impact-test the edges with steam. And we also test the laminate’s resistance to abrasion and cracking. All pre-cut benchtops and sinks except LAGAN and FYNDIG are included
in our 25 year guarantee. PERSONLIG benchtops come with different guarantees depending on the material you choose.
All our kitchen taps meet Australian standards and are tested to AS/NZS 3718:2005 and WELS scheme AZ/NZS 6400:2005
All taps are included in our 10 year guarantee, except for LAGAN tap.
BENCHTOPS, SINKS AND TAPS

HOW TO CHOOSE A BENCHTOP
1. Consider your needs
Choose your benchtops with care. You will use them for many
years and they are important for the overall appearance of
your kitchen, the impression it gives and how well it works.
Choosing the right material depends on how you use your
kitchen in everyday life. If you regularly use the benchtops
for preparing food, or have children who like to help in the
kitchen, laminate or stone benchtops make a good choice.
These resist moisture and heat. They also last well and are
easy to clean.
Solid wood benchtops feature a hardwearing material that
brings a warm, natural feeling to your kitchen. Wood does
not resist heat and scratches as well as laminate or stone, but
stains and scratches can be removed with sandpaper and oil.
Stone benchtops are available in the PERSONLIG
custom-made series – the perfect solution for benchtops that fit your
kitchen layout exactly. Laminate benchtops may be
custom-made, but are also available in a variety of standard lengths.
2. Choose your style
Choose your benchtops at the same time as you choose your
kitchen doors and drawer fronts. Benchtops are an integral
part of your kitchen together with other prominent features
such as cabinet doors and tiles. The choice of benchtop adds
the final personal touch to your kitchen style.
Whether you prefer laminate, wood or stone, you always have
a choice of colours and patterns. If you want custom-made
benchtops in laminate you also have a selection of edging
strips to choose from. This means you can have benchtops that
blend in with the rest of your kitchen – or create a stunning
contrast.
3. Standard or special
You can take home benchtops in various standard lengths
today. If you choose custom-made benchtops you can have
them manufactured exactly to your requirements and the
layout of your kitchen – joined at the angle you wish, narrower
where space is limited, or adapted to structural features. The
choice is yours. When you speak with our kitchen specialists in
store, they can give you an exact price and help you to place
your order. Your custom-made benchtops are then delivered
direct to your door.
Even though laminate benchtops are very durable we still
recommend that you use a trivet when you place hot pots
directly on them.
• Available in standard lengths in the FYNDIG, PRÄGEL
and NUMERÄR series.
• May be ordered custom-made in the PERSONLIG series.
Durable and easy to keep clean
If you want a benchtop that can take tough daily use and
doesn’t require much maintenance - choose a laminate
benchtop. We test ours to ensure that they can cope with hot
pans, as well as shrug off spilled wine, oil and hot drinks. They
are even resistant to chemicals, and the smooth, hard surface
is easy to keep clean.
LAMINATE BENCHTOPS
THIN-LAYER WOOD BENCHTOPS
The benchtop is pre-treated with a hard wax oil and no other
treatment is necessary until the surface starts to wear. But you
do not need to maintain the wood by treating it regularly
with oil, as you do with a solid wood benchtop.
Even though the benchtops are very durable we still
recommend that you use a pot stand when you place hot pots
directly on them.
• Available in standard lengths in the ÅKERBY series
Best of two worlds
Imagine a benchtop with the same look and feel as solid
wood, but that’s as easy to care for as laminate. That’s
exactly what we’ve done with the ÅKERBY benchtop. You can
cut it to desired length and sand it if it gets scratched. All you
need to do is treat it with a little wood treatment oil now and
then.
ÅKERBY benchtops are made of particle board covered with a
3.5 mm top layer of solid wood. This allows us to use less wood
for production, which in turn reduces the impact of the
environment - while the benchtop has the same look and feel
as solid wood. That way, you can get a great- looking
benchtop in wood and make a smart choice for the
environment at the same time.
STONE BENCHTOPS
Kitchen utensils will normally not cause any damage. However,
do not work with a knife or any other sharp object directly on
the benchtop surface. The surface can get scratched and the
knife can become blunt. Always use a chopping board.
• Available only as custom-made benchtops in the PERSONLIG
series.
Stone-hard surface
If you choose a custom-made stone benchtop you’ll get a work
surface that’s extremely durable. The benchtop is a moulded
composite of stone powder and polyester. This makes the
surface non-porous, smooth and easy to keep clean. It’s also
stain and scratch resist ant. And the surface always looks the
same, which is good to know if you want several benchtops in
your kitchen.
The hard stone surface is also heat-resistant, but to be sure
to retain the original surface of the benchtop, do not place hot
objects directly on the surface. Always use a trivet or similar
to protect the surface. Boiling wa ter and hot splashes from
cooking won’t damage the surface.
SOLID WOOD BENCHTOPS
A living surface
Solid wood benchtops are a hardwearing natural material
which gives a warm and natural feeling in the kitchen. They
need to be maintained several times per year with BEHANDLA
oil to maintain the quality of the benchtop, but in return can
easily be renewed by sanding the surface. The oil protects the
wood from marks, stains and cracks, and prevents water from
penetrating the surface and destroying the wood. If the surface
looks a little tired and worn after some time, you can give it
a real facelift by sanding and oiling it. It will be like new.
Even though solid wood benchtops are very durable we still
recommend that you use a trivet when you place hot pots
directly on them.
• Available in standard lengths in the LAGAN and NUMERÄR
series.
BEHANDLA wood treatment oil
To ensure that your solid wood benchtop ages gracefully, treat it regularly with BEHANDLA wood treatment oil; it gives the surface a beautiful sheen, protects the wood and prolongs the life of the benchtop. The oil is approved for use on surfaces where food is prepared. A 0.75 litre can contains sufficient oil to treat 10-12m2.

CHOOSE EDGE PROFILES FOR YOUR CUSTOM-MADE LAMINATE BENCHTOP
If you want a fully coordinated benchtop, choose an edge
profile in the same colour/pattern as the benchtop itself. You
have a choice of a rounded or square front edge. Alternatively,
give the benchtop its own distinctive personality with a
contrasting material. Choose between polypropylene in white
or black. All edging strips come in 3.8cm thick versions to give
your benchtop a totally different look.
Remember to put laminated edging strips on all edges, even
on edges that are not visible. This ensures that the benchtop
is protected from moisture, steam and dirt on all sides.

1. Consider your needs
How will you use your sink? Do you need a single or double
bowl? Large or small bowls? A large bowl is practical for
rinsing large pots. And double bowls are practical when you
want to do two things at once, like using one bowl for food
preparation and the other for washing up. If you wash a lot of
dishes by hand, a sink with a drainer can be helpful to keep
water off the benchtop. Choose a sink with the drainer or bowl
to the left or right to suit the space, the way you work and
whether you’re right or left handed. Most of our sinks can be
completed with practical accessories like chopping boards and
rinsing baskets. This creates a smart way to free up space and
get more room to work on.
Choosing the right tap for your kitchen all depends on your
needs and preferences. A single lever tap makes it easy to
control the temperature and flow with one hand. A tap with
high spout is great for washing big pots and oven dishes.
Some taps come with an extendable pull out to make rinsing
even easier.
2. Choose your style
Sinks are available with round bowls, square bowls, single
bowls or double bowls, and in sleek modern stainless steel
or in white porcelain for a more traditional, country look.
Whatever style you choose we have the tap to match it. Do
you want a tap that stands out and makes a design statement,
or one that blends in subtly with the rest of the kitchen? You
can choose between single or dual lever taps in chrome-plated
brass, stainless steel, matt black or white. Our taps are not only
very durable, most also have a built-in function to reduce the
water flow, so you save water and do something good for the
environment by using them.
HOW TO CHOOSE A SINK AND TAP
SINKS
Prices include ATLANT strainer. (Note! This is packed and displayed separately.) Length x Depth x Height.
Choose from sinks in stainless steel or white porcelain. Sinks
in stainless steel have a layer of material on the underside
that helps to absorb and reduce sound. Many of our sinks are
reversible – so you can position your sink to suit the workflow
of your kitchen. Stainless steel sinks do not have predrilled
holes, which gives you the chance to choose where you want
to position your tap. You can use the FIXA 2-piece tool kit to
cut the hole.
Our range of sinks are designed to be inset
into the benchtop. This requires cutting out
a hole in the benchtop. Follow the
instruc-tions supplied for installation. The sinks are
set into the benchtop and secured in place
using the special clamp fittings supplied.
