Comprehensive service support

with 24/7 emergency call-out

From our multi-disciplined team of maintenance engineers throughout the UK we provide you with a single point of contact for both fire and security systems. Our centralised administration and support centre means we seamlessly co-ordinate all of our services across the UK, placing us in an excellent position to accommodate national contracts. Building effective relationships is paramount to us, and we achieve this by taking a collaborative approach, with the flexibility to adapt to our clients’ working practices and specific portals. Clients are also able to track job progress through access to our own portal.

Our maintenance agreements are designed to ensure your system continues to perform to specification, and we offer a wide range of packages to suit clients’ individual requirements.

You can rest assured if a fault occurs on the system, as part of

the maintenance agreement you will benefit from a 24/7 emergency call-out service where we have skilled technicians ready to help. Our engineers are highly qualified and able to maintain and repair systems quickly and efficiently, offering a range of professional services including fire alarm, security, emergency lighting and portable extinguishers testing. We can facilitate remote diagnostics where appropriate, and offer technical support via telephone and live web chat for all customers.

Should you require a call-out, our vehicles are fitted with trackers so we are able to find the closest engineer to you when needed, and our engineers carry PDAs with instant emails of all visit reports. Breakdowns are always resolved quickly as our engineers have a high repair and diagnostic skill set, and carry the tools and spares to fulfil almost all repair jobs in one call-out.

Our maintenance services provide a complete package of support, including:

Over 5,000 contracts throughout the UK

We maintain thousands of fire and security systems across the UK for businesses and organisations with a range of requirements. The sectors we supply services to are as varied as health, education, retail, leisure, commercial and industrial.

As well as maintaining our own systems and installations, we are able to take on systems by other manufacturers and ensure that our engineers are trained on a wide range of systems.

In order to fulfil our contracts as efficiently as possible we have two different types of engineers with coverage across the UK; maintenance engineers and ‘on demand’ (fault) engineers. This means our maintenance engineers can focus on delivering our contractual obligations on time, while our on demand engineers are ready to respond quickly to fault call-outs when needed. For large sites with demanding systems, we are also able to provide a resident engineer who can manage his own workload to keep the site fault-free and fully maintained.

Maintenance contracts in focus

Retail

Clymac maintain a national contract for a large British retailer with 180 sites across the UK. The client benefits from bi-monthly progress and performance meetings with a Clymac Account Manager, and two visits a year to perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).

In order to meet our PPM KPIs for maintenance, we are obliged to notify stores of forthcoming visits, attend at predetermined dates and times, and complete work as per PPM schedules.

Our KPIs for on demand call-outs include responding to 95% of call-outs within four hours, and a first time fix rate of 85%.

The client has their own portal for logging call-outs with Clymac, with a PC terminal at each store for our engineers to sign off when the visit is completed.

Leisure

We have a national contract with a popular health club chain, who has over 120 sites across the UK. The client benefits from quarterly progress and performance meetings with a Clymac Account Manager, and two visits a year to perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).

Our KPIs for on demand call-outs include responding within eight hours, and a first time fix rate of 85%.

We work with our client to identify sites with high running costs that may be reduced by upgrading the system installed. Due to changes in the way that sites operate, there are many small works projects for us to quote and manage using our small works electricians. These electricians are able to fulfil installation and commission changes at the same time, removing the need and cost of a separate commissioning visit.

Education

We have been the maintenance provider for an East Midlands university for 14 years. The university has 250 systems across three campuses, covering fire alarms, gas suppression and gas leak detection.

We supply two dedicated Clymac engineers, one maintenance engineer and one on demand engineer to attend breakdowns. The client benefits from monthly progress and performance meetings with a Clymac Account Manager, and four visits a year to perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).

Our KPIs for on demand call-outs means the client can insist on a one hour response time for emergency faults.

This client has many small works projects for us to quote and manage using our small works electricians, and our resident engineer actively manages subcontractors for work where fire alarms are affected, to minimise the possibility of false alarms.
