Knowledge Point 2.1

Knowledge Point is part of Atlantic Link’s collaborative e-learning infrastructure. It provides comprehensive LMS functionality including launching and tracking of courses, results storage, student import, user groups, author groups and more.

Knowledge Point is also a collaboration server, allowing Content Point courses to be maintained and delivered using a web browser.

Knowledge Point is installed on the computer that hosts the central authoring location in the organization. All client computers that are used for authoring must be pointed to this location when you roll out the clients. The server should be installed as a web server using the HTTP protocol. To support diverse authoring projects, you can host multiple servers and authoring projects on the same computer.

Interactive and media-rich courses are developed using a drag-and-drop interface. Courses are delivered as single Flash movies. All that learners need are Internet Explorer and Flash to experience quality, interactive e-learning.

Authors require Content Point to edit recorded lessons. This includes all the tools to edit, structure and distribute training material.
