The owner of TIGRA founded the company during his university studies, in 1996. In the first few years, the company provided IT and photocopies services and offered the largest and cheapest 24 hour copying service in one of Budapest’s universities. The company’s portfolio has expanded over the years, with new services such as hardware supply and software solutions for the business industry. The company attributed to the financial district, and later on for the government sectors.
Recently, TIGRA has started its own software developing research, and shortly accomplished significant success with its software development in the Western-European market. TIGRA were cooperating as the largest supplier to companies such as NOKIA in Finland, the German Deutsche Telekom and the American Nuance Communications Inc. Our specialists are gaining experience primarily in
developing open-source systems, which they utilize on the Hungarian market and public administration. In the last 5 years we have acquired significant projects on the public administration area too.
The TIGRA IT Group expanded with two significant companies in 2011, both attain more than 15 years’ experience in developing and operating with highly reliable, constantly available systems. They are developing large systems for the public administration area, especially registration office systems, electoral systems and foreign law enforcement supporting systems.

The TIGRA IT Group has achieved great success in projects concerning public administration and marketing as well as the financial, energy and transportation sectors. Here are some of our most significant projects:
AFIS System
The AFIS is one of the biggest and most important systems of the ORFK (Hungarian Police) which deals with national, criminal, foreign law enforcement and refugee fingerprint and palm-print identification issues. Our company provided the necessary hardware and software systems for the development of the AFIS and we have successfully implemented CABIS (Cogent Automatic Biometric Identification System), the software of our American partner 3M Cogent.
The AFIS is a qualified system to interlock with other EU country’s AFIS systems as well.
Rescue Management System
The aim of the project is the development of a new rescue management system for the OMSZ (Hungarian Ambulance Service). As a result of the development the incoming emergency calls are computerized, the search is processed in a spatial data infrastructure which is able to localize the incoming calls and events and the rescue control is supported by a special service.
The RMS can provide a specific IT environment which contributes to a fast processing of the incoming data available immediately for the outgoing rescue team. The OMSZ will also ensure that ambulances have tablets available for a faster information flow and there will be significant changes in the working environment too.

The consortium between TIGRA and IdomSoft Ltd. made the development, testing and implementation of the SIS II (the connection among IT systems of the Security Authorities of Schengen member states) possible. The objective of the system was to facilitate safety measures concerning public policy, order, and international public transportation in the Schengen zone.
The development of the SIS II is a high priority of the EU as well.

The purpose of the project is to create an electronic register, which would replace the current paper-based register system. The new generational E-registration will be able to trace back a given individual’s life course and the stored data would be available to every registrar in the country.

systems at the VOLÁN
Company
TIGRA performed the development of public transport at several VOLÁN Companies (VOLÁN Companies – the largest Hungarian public transport companies providing local and inter-local bus transportation) with building the integrated traffic-control and passenger informing system.
As a result of the implementation, ICT systems have realized the conditions for the electronic traffic-control, and created a user-friendly system in the European market, taking into consideration the needs of the individuals living with disabilities.
The new electronic informing system installed at public transportation stations, allow passengers to follow the accurate arrival time of busses. Using the traffic-control and passenger informing systems, the OBU on-board control units (On Board Unit -OBU), permits the VOLÁN Companies to provide a more reliable schedule and public transportation service.

The HU-GO system was implemented in 2013 in Hungary according to Eu policies. The toll system concerns trucks weighting 3,5 tons and is used on specific highways and routes. Our version of the system is highly innovative and cost effective.

Our company has developed the loan application incoming and assessing system for Budapest Bank, which is used today. The recording of the applications, allows for supervision and analysis of content, credit appraisal, calculation of credit offers and risk-based pricing.
