The name Synergetics on your instruments ensures you of quality. Our goal is to bring you not only the

finest, precision-made instruments, but also to furnish you with the most extensive line of products

available. By offering you a variety of finishes, tips, handles, and the most innovative products, we

hope to become your sole supplier of surgical instruments and equipment.

Kryptonite™ Instruments

Kryptonite™ is a natural, glare-free black material. It is a non-ferrous alloy incapable of rusting and is

seven times more resistant to damage than stainless steel. Because the color is not a coating, it

can-not flake off! Synergetics offers a limited lifetime warranty against corrosion on all of our Kryptonite™

forceps.

Microserrated™

Through a unique manufacturing process, we are able to offer many of our instruments with

microserrations. These microserrations are tiny ‘grabbers’ cut into the metal itself. Unlike traditional

diamond dusted forceps, these microserrations cannot come off. The result is a superior grasping

surface with improved durability.

Diamond Black™

Many of our instruments are also available with a Diamond Black™ finish that offers a nearly

diamond-hard, glare-free black surface that improves durability and corrosion resistance.

20ga, 23ga, 25ga, and 27ga Sizes

23ga, 25ga and 27ga instruments are indicated by the appropriate symbols throughout the catalog,

otherwise the instrument is 20ga. At Synergetics, we do not believe that one size fits all. Because no

two situations and no two surgeons are the same, we have increased your choices by offering 20ga,

23ga, 25ga, and 27ga instruments.

Syntrifugal™ Tips

Synergetics™ also offers the Syntrifugal™ Handle with interchangeable disposable and reusable tips.

The disposable tips are the finest disposable tips you will find. The same patented process used to

make our reusable instruments is also used to make our disposable tips. Any of the products in the

catalog with the

‘SD’

symbol should be used with a Syntrifugal™ handle only. Any of our reusable

instruments can be made into a Syntrifugal™ reusable tip. Please note, however, that the

Syntrifu-gal™ reusable tips should be used with the SyntrifuSyntrifu-gal™ handle

only

. When ordering, simply state

the catalog number of the tip you would like and indicate that you want the Syntrifugal™ reusable tip.

If ordering by email or fax, preceed any of the catalog numbers listed in the catalog with an

‘SR’

. This

will notify the customer service department that you are ordering the Syntrifugal™ reusable version.

PHOTON™ Compatible Disposables

Designed specifically for the PHOTON™ and P2-PHOTON™, these disposables have been crafted to

furnish you with unparalleled light and performance.

Cannulas featured on these pages are constructed with the highest-quality materials and inspected

thoroughly before leaving our production facility. Both reusable and disposable cannulas are offered.

Many of these products operate with the 31.00 Reflux handpiece and are noted accordingly. This

handpiece allows both active and passive suction and features a removable rear plug that prevents

suction elasticity when using the handpiece in active mode. The unique flush-through design allows

for easy cleaning. Several of the products are disposable and are manufactured with a molded

handpiece and rear plug that furnishes active suction. Autoclavable, one-piece products are

manufactured with the white, molded autoclavable handpiece.

disposable cannulas

These unique cannula systems are pre loaded on a trocar and self retaining once inserted

into the eye. It has a slightly larger ID which allows for easy entry for most instruments.

Wound architecture is considerably improved when using this product due to the

incorporation of Razor Technology™ on the blade. The blade is specially beveled and offers

a slight step providing the surgeon a much easier time inserting it into the scleral resulting in

ONE-STEP™ sutureless surgery. This reduces leaking and delivers faster recovery times.

The blade is also slightly larger than normal because it is flat. It makes a longer incision at

first, but ovalizes once instruments are introduced.
