Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering,

300 ECTS credit points

(Civilingenjör i maskinteknik, 300 credits)

1. Decision

A decision to establish the study programme was made by the Board of Governors at Blekinge Institute of Technology 2002-10-07.

Responsibility for this programme lies within the School of Engineering.

The programme syllabus was established by the Study Programmes Board of Blekinge Institute of Technology 2011-02-23 and applies to students admitted in the autumn term 2011.

Programme code: MTACI

2. Entry Requirements

For admission to the study programme Specific Entry Requirements no. 9 apply: Mathematics E, Physics B and Chemistry A.

3. Higher Education Qualification

The programme consists of both first cycle and second cycle studies and leads up to a higher education qualification at second cycle with the description.

Degree of Master of Science in Engineering: Mechanical Engineering with emphasis on Innovative and Sustainable Product Development or

Degree of Master of Science in Engineering: Mechanical Engineering with emphasis on Applied Mechanics.

Equivalent descriptions in Swedish are

Civilingenjörsexamen i maskinteknik med inriktning mot innovativ och hållbar produktutveckling or

Civilingenjörsexamen i maskinteknik med inriktning mot tillämpad mekanik.

The possibility is also given to choose an alternative third year and so earn a first cycle qualification with the description
