Our team is made up of chemists, pharmacists, educators, and experts in instrumental chemical analysis as well as technical assistance specialists who have been working for many years in related scientific disciplines.

We are a lively and dynamic team, made up of youthful, ambitious and highly motivated people. We are thinkers, travellers, health fanatics, environmentalists, and hard workers: an innovative, competitive, skilled, and efficient “small company”.

We started in 1984 as a focused commercial business operating in the sector of scientific equipment and consumer products for chemical and clinical-chemical laboratories supply. Our partners amassed experience working in chemical and clinical-chemical labs, both at universities and hospitals; they also worked as product specialists in companies producing scientific equipment. This empowered us to offer practical support and efficient after-sales services, and garnered great customer satisfaction, trust and reliability in our work.

Our core strengths boast skill-sets specific to chemical-instrumental analysis of micro pollutants, with a robust knowledge of this sector’s laws and quality proce-dures. We also possess a keen ability to understand the latent needs of the market, and a unique versatility in adapting to and accommodating customer demand. We are the forerunners in creating “Ready-to-use” kits, containing multi-component mixtures of hundreds of standard pesticides: they are useful for the cali-bration of highly technological scientific equipment (GCMSMS, GCHRMS, LCMSMS, LCHRMS, LCFTMS, etc.).

We have been the first to use, in the industrial field, a “universal” quantitative analytical technique, i.e., the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (1HqNMR), in order to assign property values, metrological and NIST traceability to certified reference materials of plant protection products and other organic compounds.

ABOUT US

1HqNMR is characterized by linearity, specificity and stability. In fact, it is considered a leading analytical method that, when compared to other techniques, does not need to follow the standard of the compound for quantification. Measurement is actually made by relating the number of protons in the analyses to those of a primary standard in a different substance.

Thanks to this method, we could qualify and assign property values to hundreds of highly pure organic substances, mostly pesticides and metabolites. From these substances we produce “Ready-to-use”, single and multi-component solutions, including the new QuPPe-AO and QuPPE-PO mixtures, which are used for the polar pesticides analysis of food of both animal and vegetable origin.

We have a wide range of QuEChERS products for the LLE extraction and clean-up (d-SPE). Moreover, we are the first to make “Ready-to-use” products for “SweEt” (Swedish Ethyl) extraction.

Thanks to the flexibility that distinguishes our production process, we are always ready to comply with EU regulations and the new analytical procedures, is-sued by the various governmental authorities, about the control of micro pollutant residuals in food. So, we are able to quickly synthesise new and customised products, according to such regulations.

We have a Conference Centre where we periodically organize seminars, workshops, and training courses for the use of new scientific equipment and new analytical methodologies.

PARTNERS

Our team boasts strategic partnerships with other Research Corporations, Universities, CNR (National Research Bureau) as well as public and private chemical laboratories. Thanks to such professional relationships, we have been able to achieve Research Projects (PON, Cluster, etc.), scientific publications, inter-laboratory comparisons, development of multi-residual methods for the analysis of pesticides and metabolites, studies on the stability of pesticides in various alimentary origins, investigations of innovative tools to improve food safety, and more.

is our product line, which includes more than 1500 single component standard solutions and CRM of pesticides and metabolites, dozens of stable and homogeneous multi-component mixtures, and some “Ready-to-Use” kits for the control of food safety and of environmental quality.

The “Ready-to-Use” product range represents an alternative to the expensive as well as dangerous traditional “neat” standards. With them, you won’t need hundreds of potentially detectable pesticides to be handled, weighted, thinned, stored, or registered. Therefore, you won’t have to manage expirations and replacements, consider and compare lots, and/or qualify suppliers. works:

• A rapid control of the equipment tune and of the MRM transitions;

• To quickly update the Rt variation;

• To enhance selectivity and sensibility in MSMS;

• To improve the efficiency of measurements and reduce the frequency of calibrations;

• To validate the performance of the multi-residual method of analysis;

• To evaluate more frequently the recycling and reproducibility of the sample preparation, keeping lot to lot uniformity;

• To improve precision, reduce measurement error concerning in-house standard solutions, produced with volumetric procedures and the complete elimination of potential errors. Kits have been planned for a quicker and more reliable identification of over 600 analytes in the same chromatography run. Their use allows for:

• Significantly reduced man-hours (at least 7x) for the in-house preparation of stock calibration solutions (one for each analysis );

• Cheaper purchase and disposal of dozens of litres of organic solvents (at least 30x);

• Risk reduction for workers’ health and safety concerns, preventing the handling of pesticides, which can be toxic, carcinogenic, teratogenic, and mutagenic;

• A lower contamination risk in work environment, chemical hoods, and laboratory glassware, caused by the use of non-diluted standard solutions.

Kits contain all the plant protection products that can be referenced with the Application Notes, published by the main spectrometer producers for their customers, allowing a fast procedure.

The single-component product line also includes a great amount of deuterated pesticides made by us ( ) and all those mixtures that are used for the analysis of highly polar pesticides, in products of both plant (QuPPe-PO) and animal origin (QuPPe-AO).

The and products are traceable according to Primary NIST Standards and are produced in an ISO Guide 34:2009 certified company. They are

also monitored in EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 certified laboratories.

BUSINESS AREA - STANDARDS AND CRM PRODUCTION

BUSINESS AREA - LLE AND CLEAN-UP d-SPE EXTRACTION SYSTEMS

We produce a complete QuEChERS product line for LLE extraction and clean-up (d-SPE) of pesticides and mycotoxins in fruits, vegetables, cereal products, meat, juices, wine, citrus fruits, ground, etc. Such products are preparatory for a multi-residual analysis of pesticides in chromatography (GC-HPLC) and mass spectrometry (GCMSMS and LCMSMS). This method is based on a work published in 2003 by the U.S. Department of Agriculture – Eastern Regional Research Center in Wyndmoor, PA (M. Anastassiades, S.J. Lehotay, D. Stajnbaher, F.J. Schenck) and replaces the old extraction methods by greatly reducing working time as well as the high costs of solvents, glassware and other special laboratory equipment.

The product line has been carefully conceived to allow customers choose the products they need, according to the type of food to analyse and the typology of plant protection product to search. This product line includes more than 50 different packaging (LLE Falcon, cone-shaped tubes; self-standing 15 ml transfer tubes or sachets; 2 and 15 ml d-SPE tubes) available in every formulation, in order to satisfy the customer needs and, at the same time, respecting the most widespread official methods (EN 152, AOAC 2007.01, “Original”, etc.).

The products, entirely made in Italy, according to certified procedures, are characterized by:

• Variety of packaging;

• Certified quality of raw materials;

• “Lot to lot” reproducibility;

• Distinctive “colour code” according to the matrix type;

• Economic packaging.

In addition, the catalogue includes Mycotoxin LLE Tubes and Mycotoxin d-SPE Tubes for the analysis of mycotoxins in food.

Recently, we introduced our brand new products to the market: the “Ready-to-Use” products, based on the Swedish Ethyl Acetate Method. It is a new extraction and purification method in the multi-residual analysis of fruits, vegetables, cereals and products of animal origin.

This method uses small amounts of solvents and gives extracts that are perfectly compatible with the GCMSMS and LCMSMS injection, as it inserts very low concentra-tions of the matrix components, like proteins and sugars.

• To improve precision, reduce measurement error concerning in-house standard solutions, produced with volumetric procedures and the complete elimination of potential errors. Kits have been planned for a quicker and more reliable identification of over 600 analytes in the same chromatography run. Their use allows for:

• Significantly reduced man-hours (at least 7x) for the in-house preparation of stock calibration solutions (one for each analysis );

• Cheaper purchase and disposal of dozens of litres of organic solvents (at least 30x);

• Risk reduction for workers’ health and safety concerns, preventing the handling of pesticides, which can be toxic, carcinogenic, teratogenic, and mutagenic;

• Variety of packaging;

• Certified quality of raw materials;

• “Lot to lot” reproducibility;

• Distinctive “colour code” according to the matrix type;
