Position purpose
To provide analytical, business process reengineering and system design support to the Development Services ‘Future Focus’ Project.

Key accountabilities
Scope, design and deliver Future Focus implementation related work
• Support project delivery through scoping, analysis and design and delivery of project work packages, including: package objectives, resourcing needs, budget analysis, and project communications strategy requirements
• Undertake needs analysis, design and mapping of business processes • Assist in implementing new workflow processes and tools
• Collect and analyse data where required
• Undertake review and recommend options to optimise workflow design.
• Undertake monitoring and evaluation of Development Services performance pre and post work package implementation to gauge benefits
• Troubleshoot design and implementation issues and solve problems as required • Provide support during implementation including testing, validation and training

Support the delivery of project activities to cost, time and quality objectives
• Provide regular updates to, and seek guidance from, the Project Manager• Provide project management assistance to the Project Manager • Liaise with key staff and consultants where required to complete tasks
• Prepare project related documentation, reports, analysis where required to support the implementation plan
• Contribute to forecasting, monitoring and reporting on project progress including Development Services performance metrics
• Manage timeframes to ensure task delivery
• Manage project administrative work where required

Collaborate with ICT department to source and deliver ICT solutions to support project implementation
• Liaise with key ICT employees where required to achieve outcomes• Review, evaluate and provide advice on ICT options
• Collaborate and assist ICT and Development Services on Trailing and testing ICT solutions and to assess their capability for use
• Build workflow tools using ECM, MS Excel, MS Word or other software where required. • Assist in defining business and functional requirements for ICT tool selection

Provide administrative support on project governance activities
• Provide reporting support to the Project Governance Team (monthly and additional as required)
• Complete project progress reports including identification of project risks and mitigation plans
• Collect, analyse and report on key performance metrics for project success measurement • Contribute to content for Board reports

Coordinate with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are completed
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders where required to complete projectimplementation tasks
• Undertake site visits of other organisations where required to gain an understanding of leading practices and technological solutions being deployed across industry, particularly within the water sector
• Work with the Development Services department to complete engagement activities consistent with the project engagement strategy/plan
• Schedule meetings and participate in workshops where required to engage with
stakeholders and ensure optimal design and implementation of new workflow, ICT systems. • Provide assistance to the change management program

Success profile
Qualifications and experience
• A relevant Business, Commerce, Engineering or Science related qualification
• Experience and demonstrated competence in business analysis, business process re-engineering, and the implementation of ICT solutions.
• Experience within Barwon Water’s asset planning, asset creation, development services and/or operations areas are highly desired.
