- START on RGMS as soon as you can

- Log in to RGMS - www.rgms.nhmrc.gov.au

- RGMS Help Centre Ph. 1800 500 983 - If new, select “New to RGMS?”

- Complete the details required

- Enter the email address that you use on a regular basis (this will be used by the NHMRC to communicate with you). We will send all grant communication to your “…@sydney.edu.au” email address. If you are using another email address, please ensure you redirect all emails from your “…@sydney.edu.au” email account to it.

- Institution – applicants submitting through the University of Sydney must select “University of Sydney ”

Make sure your CV Profile on RGMS is up-to-date

NHMRC rules Eligibility issues

- Maximum number of proposals (6)

 Extend grant duration into 2016 – counts toward total

- CIs on Program grants – 1 Project grant only (concessions for P/t CIs) - All CIs must have submitted ALL required reports (progress and final)

- CIA must be an Australian citizen (or PR) when grant commences

- Maximum CIs on application 10

- Maximum AIs on application 10

NHMRC rules New Investigators

• less than 10 years from PhD letter of award (unless career disruptions)

• not named CI (or equivalent) on a funded NHMRC Project Grant and/or ARC Discovery Grant; and

• not named CI (or equivalent) on a funded research grant from any other agency listed on the AGCR or from an international funding agency totaling $AUD 250,000 or more.

• Salary-only award from any funding source OK

Cancer Australia (Priority-driven Collaborative Cancer Research Scheme (PdCCRS)

RGMS minimum data deadline: 18 February 2015 applies to Cancer Australia applicants

Internal deadline (RGMS) – Wednesday 25 February 2015

Specific requirements:

Supplementary Questions internal deadline: Wed 25 February 2015 http://canceraustralia.gov.au/ - (homepage) steps to download documents:

o click on ‘Call for applications’ under NEWS section, then click ‘2015 PdCCRS Research Priorities’ under Further information,

o download Supp Q’s for either ‘Standard Project Grants’ or ‘Young Investigator Project Grants.’

o Correct file name submitted to RGC: '[App ID]_CancerAustralia_AddQs_[CIA Family

Name].pdf‘ - Read the information on pages 2 and 3 of the ‘Supp Q’s’ carefully.

o CIA (Young Investigators) can only apply to CA if they submitted the ‘New Investigator

Online Eligibility Form’– deadline 21 January 2015 (now closed).

NB: Supp Q’s received after the internal deadline to RGC will only receive a compliance check.
