Weekly Masses Intentions
/Intencje Mszalne
After the hurricane devastated the south, a group decided to travel there for 10 days to help with the re- building efforts. Many people wanted to go, but could not get time from work or were constrained by oth- er responsibilities. A local business proposed a plan that would enable everyone to support the effort, even though they could not go. Donations of food, supplies, campers, and trucks were made, all of which ena- bled the crew to do a great job. The community supplied the mission and great things happened.
When God gives us a mission, He supplies what we need. He never asks us to do anything without giv- ing us all that is necessary for success. There are countless examples of people who have achieved the impossible because they trusted in the power of God. How many churches, schools, hospitals, missions, programs and social causes have flourished in spite of opposition and skepticism? What God decides, He also provides. Just when we think we cannot possibly reconcile, forgive, feed, clothe, give or pray, the Lord comes through and we find that we have all that we need.
What is your impossible task? What is it that God wants you to do? Trust in His Providence. As the proverb says, Plan as though all depends on God; work as though all depends on you. He will not fail you.
Saint Vincent de Paul. In the Gospel, Jesus supersedes both the apostles’ and the crowds’ expectations; with little he feeds many...Jesus is the sign of God’s lavish presence and love.
Your donation to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul is indeed a sign of God’s extravagant love to the lonely and the poor. This month, through your gifts, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul was able to assist families, providing food, money for utilities, rent and other bills. God Bless You!
To make a donation to St. Vincent de Paul, send it c/o Sacred Heart Parish, 18 E. Main Street, Webster, MA 01570.
THANK YOU
Thank you to all the parishioners and friends of St. Joseph parish who have been generously contributing to the church and the school during these diffi- cult times. I am most grateful for your support. God bless you.
Stewardship Note The mir acle of the loaves and fishes car - ries two important messages. First, no matter how little we have, we always have enough to share. Second, Christ can take our humble gifts and do great things with them if we are just willing to let Him. Nothing is impossible with God. All of our gifts, big or small, were given to us for a reason. No gift is too small or insignificant!

POPE FRANCIS ESTABLISHES WORLD DAY OF GRANDPARENTS AND THE ELDERLY TO COINCIDE
WITH FEAST OF STS. JOACHIM AND ANNE Pope Francis announced the establishment of a World Day of Grandparents and the Elderly as a reminder of the important role they play as a link between generations. During his Sunday Angelus address Jan. 31, the pope said the day will be celebrated every year on the fourth Sunday of July to coincide with the feast of Sts. Joachim and Anne, Jesus’ grandparents. The first celebration of this day will be July 25.
“It is important for grandparents to meet their grandchildren and for grandchildren to meet their grandparents because — as the prophet Joel says — grandparents, before their grandchildren, will dream and have great desires, and young people — taking strength from their grandparents — will go forward and prophe- sy,” he said.
Highlighting the Feb. 2 feast of the Presentation of the Lord, the pope said the recognition of Christ as the Messiah by the elderly Simeon and Anna is a reminder that “the Holy Spirit still stirs up thoughts and words of wisdom in the elderly today.” “Their voice is precious because it sings the praises of God and safeguards the roots of peoples,” he said. “They remind us that old age is a gift and that grandparents are the link between generations, passing on the experience of life and faith to the young.” “Grandparents are often forgotten and we forget this wealth of preserving roots and passing on,” he added.
In a statement published shortly after the pope’s announcement, Cardinal Kevin J. Farrell, prefect of the Dicastery for Laity, the Family and Life, said the yearly event was “a gift to the whole church” that emphasizes the pastoral care of the elderly as “a pri- ority that can no longer be postponed by any Christian communi- ty.”
“In the encyclical, “Fratelli Tutti,’ the Holy Father reminds us that no one is saved alone. With this in mind, we must treasure the spiritual and human wealth that has been handed down from gen- eration to generation,” he said.
Cardinal Farrell added that “today, more than ever, we are com- mitted to making every effort to dismantle the throwaway culture and to enhance the charismas of grandparents and the elderly.”
The dicastery said Pope Francis will mark the first World Day of Grandparents and the Elderly July 25 with an evening Mass in St.
Peter’s Basilica. However, the Mass will be “subject to sanitary regulations in place at the time.”
“Closer to the world day, the Dicastery for Laity, the Family and Life will announce any further initiatives that will mark the event,” the statement said. “As of now, the dicastery is inviting parishes and dioceses around the world to celebrate this world day at the local level in ways that are suited to their pastoral context.”

Każdy z nas przychodzi do Jezusa z innym obrazem Kościoła, z in- nym obrazem Jego samego, a On nas karmi.

JOACHIMA I ANNY
Joachima i Anny, dziadków Jezusa.
Kardynał Farrell dodał, że „dzisiaj, bardziej niż kiedykolwiek, dokładamy wszelkich starań, aby zdemontować kulturę odrzuce- nia i wzmocnić charyzmy dziadków i osób starszych”. Dykaste- ria poinformowała, że 25 lipca papież Franciszek uczci pierwszy Światowy Dzień Dziadków i Osób Starszych wieczorną Mszą św. w Bazylice św. Piotra.
Niedzielnych i nabożeństw.
Zapraszamy wszystkich wiernych do wspólnej modlitwy w naszej świątyni.
KORONKA DO MIŁOSIERDZIA BOŻEGO W niedzielę 1 sierpnia o godz.
