As I sit at my desk trying to figure out something profound to write, all that comes to mind is, BE KIND. We are all glad to have 2020 behind us, and while we are still not sure what 2021 will look like, we are hopeful! We are hopeful this pandemic will be brought under control. We are hopeful to see friends and family we haven’t seen in a while. We are hopeful for some type of normalcy in 2021. However, there is still a lot of uncertainty.

Events and programs are being planned, while not knowing what, if any, restrictions will be in place. We will all have to pull together and work together to have a successful 4-H year in 2021. Sometimes that will mean last minute changes, curve balls and rolling with the flow. Please understand that we will try to keep you abreast on any changes that may happen as soon as we know about them. In the meantime, we are pushing ahead and trying to plan as many things as we can.

So when things get tough and uncertain please remember; “Kindness begins with the understanding that we all struggle” – Charles Glassman We don’t have to be negative about a struggle, we can help each other through it. #CarrollCountyStrong

LIVESTOCK RECORD BOOKS INFORMATION

Per Ohio State we are no longer allowed to use the LRB books as we have done in years past. However, you can put both market and carcass in the same book just not breeding and market. For instance, if you have a market and carcass hog they can be in the same book, BUT if you have market and breeding beef that is NOT permitted.
