These next modules for a day trip will mainly take you to the region of Mechelen where you can visit the beautiful Ursuline convent with its exclusive Art Nouveau winter garden combined with a visit to the city center. Mechelen will hold an exhibition on artists during the WWI period in the autumn of 2014. The new museum of Human Rights and Holocaust is also an interesting yet poignant addition to your trip. Another option is to go a little further and discover the Railway Fort in Duffel which holds an interactive exhibition on WWI or a visit to the town of martyrs, Lier with an guided walk-application.
