Combines the productivity associated
with flexo with the flexibility offered by
rapid job change digital technology
The
N6
10i
digital label press
How we print labels is changing
For label printers, the Domino
N6
10i,
with up to seven colours including opaque
white, 600dpi ‘native’ print resolution and
operating speeds up to 75m/min (246ft/
min), is the only label press that combines
the productivity of flexo printing with the
flexibility offered by rapid job change
digital technology.
This means an investment that provides
added potential for greater sales growth
and increased profitability, whilst reducing
production cost and complexity.
*Subject to an effective migration barrier being in place.
Greener credentials
Domino’s commitment and investment in sound environmental practices means we frequently exceed the increasingly demanding governmental, industry and company standards and regulations. We are committed to minimising the consumption of natural resources and energy and the creation of waste. Our products are RoHS and WEEE compliant so that they are recyclable.
N610i
The N610i is supplied with UV curable inks representing an efficient use of our natural resources. Although UV curable inks are chemicals and need to be used correctly, they offer significant environmental benefits compared to solvent alternatives. Solvent inks include up to 95% volatile solvents that evaporate into the environment and require regular print head cleaning. N610i UV curable inks contain 1% volatile solvents.
Applications
The
N6
10i uses vibrant UV curable inks designed
for a range of industry standard self-adhesive label
stocks including coated paper, polypropylene and
polyethylene, normally without the need to prime.
Applications include industrial, security, health
and safety, automotive, chemical, personal care,
pharmaceutical, food* and beverage*.
The highest digital productivity
Facts and figures
Print over 100,000 10cm2 (4in2) labels in an hour, not just one label design but multiple different labels. In the time to set up a flexo machine, the N610i may already be printing the fourth or fifth job planned for the day and generating far less material waste.
Can you run in-line
finishing to its capacity?
The N610i has been designed with the option for in-line finishing. A standard interface exists for AB Graphic and GM finishing lines; interfaces for other manufacturers finishing lines can be reviewed on request. With the N610i, high speed finishing lines can now operate at speeds close to their capacity.
Large roll capacity
To manage this productivity, the N610i will accept 340mm (13.4”) wide media with 1m (39”) diameter input and output rolls.
It is all about ‘native’
resolution
The N610i uses Kyocera print heads that provide the highest UV curable ink jet native print resolution of 600dpi (drops per inch). The higher native resolution means that more smaller drops are printed (as small as 6 picolitres) in order to create greater details for images as well as small point size text.
The best digital ink jet quality
Our colour gamut
Even with four colours, the N610i far exceeds the common industry standard colour gamut specifications. Now with one of the most opaque white inks and up to seven colours, a very wide range of customer requirements can be met without the complexity of mixing spot colours.
Stitching!
All industry standard ink jet solutions require the ability to accurately position multiple print heads in order to enable the printing of seamless images.
The Domino i-Tech StitchLink
micro-motor controller technology automates this perfectly… easy, accurate, rapid set-up for printing high quality images without white stitch lines.
Low maintenance and Domino support
Few daily tasks
With i-TechCleanCap
automated print head maintenance, there are few manual tasks… changing the web cleaner papers, changing the 10 litre ink bottles, the simplicity and automated functions means more time is spent printing.
Make it quick
With all aspects of the N610i design, consideration has been given to rapid replacement of consumable and failed parts, we recognise the importance of minimal downtime. Most parts, including the quick release print heads, can be changed in less than one hour.
Domino at your service
Domino has more than 35 years of ink jet technology experience. Today more than 600 service technicians provide support for Domino’s solutions across the globe. The Domino Service Standard helps to ensure a consistent high level of performance is achieved in every region.
The most consistent print results
It is just so simple
Ink jet technology is non-contact, with few moving parts, no printing plates, no drums, no blankets and no complex maintenance programmes. The first N600i system installed operated up to 18 hours a day for six months without a service visit. The time to change from printing one job to another is instantaneous with limited media waste.
Jets that keep jetting
Domino’s innovative i-Tech
ActiFlow ink circulating system
ensures that ink is always moving around the print head, even when stopped. ActiFlow helps to degas the ink, preventing air bubbles forming that can impact nozzle performance.
A controlled process
The revolutionary i-Tech
CleanCap automated print head
cleaning and capping technology means the N610i almost maintains itself. CleanCap is a clean and consistent controlled process. The risk of print nozzle blockages are dramatically reduced, which all adds up to being able to run more production.
