Program

Overview The imminent retirement of many executives from the NTPS presents critical challenges for the sector to ensure we have a strong and capable pool of executive talent. The Executive Leadership Program forms one part of an integrated strategy to address the issue of future leadership supply and presents as a unique opportunity for executives in the NTPS to increase their strategic awareness, build strong executive networks and develop a whole of government perspective. In addition to supplying strong executives for the future, the program will improve succession planning and promote mobility and learning across the sector.

The program content has been designed taking into account the identified learning gaps from a variety of sources, including 360° assessments across the NTPS since 2009 and the NTPS Capability and Leadership Framework and more recently an Ageing Workforce Audit and People Matters survey.

The program is delivered over four and a half days, where a consolidation event to close the program occurs on the final half day. Participants are required to present learnings to senior leaders at the consolidation event.
