Course Overview
This course introduces you to a popular feature within IBM Cognos 10, Active Reports.
You will gain an in-depth knowledge of the various interactive Active Report controls such as Decks and Data Button Bars. Course Overview
This five day Controller course covers all possible training requirements in four manageable modules. Throughout the course you will gain plenty of hands-on experience by applying the techniques you have learnt to a case study and by the end of the course you will be able to relate these skills to your own business model.
Module 1 - Basic Structures
Learn how to set up group structures and how to link structures to form an application.
Module 2 - Consolidation Logic
You will learn how to set up and define the consolidation rules and journals within IBM Cognos Controller.
Module 3 - Reporting
Learn how to set up a suite of reports which can be used for monthly and annual reporting, and how to calculate key ratios.
Module 4 - Data Import
Learn how to import data from external sources; gain insight into different techniques and best practice approaches for writing import specifications.
