• Oversight of general, personnel, and endowed funds of $3.5 million

• Positively resolved a long-standing issue with the National Association of Schools of Art and Design, a discipline-specific accreditation organization, in 2007

• Successfully completed accreditation review with NASAD in 2014

• Coordinated, completed, and authored an internal program review/report in 2008 • Secured approval for three new degree programs from the University and

NASAD: Visual Culture, Expanded Media (2D and 3D digital imaging), Wood and Metal Arts

• Conducted ten successful tenure-track searches in the School

• Worked in concert with the College of Fine Arts development officer on fund raising priorities and plans for the School including Endowed Chairs/Professors, funds to support faculty and student research and travel, unrestricted operational support, and a center for the study of the creative process

• Endowed a fund to support professional development projects for faculty and staff • Completed a comprehensive revision of guidelines for the School Faculty Status

Committee (promotion, tenure, salary) that served as a model for the Schools of Music and Theater & Dance and the College’s program in Arts Technology • Completed a comprehensive revision of School of Art By Laws

• Developed a new annual review dossier and introduced more balanced, informative and useful faculty evaluation letters and helped make the tenure/promotion process within the School more transparent and effective

•   Secured internal funds for and coordinated $600,000 ventilation improvement project

•   Completed initiatives include the development of an honors program for undergraduates; revisions of departmental mission statement, by-laws, faculty organization, committees and committee membership; institution of hazardous waste disposal system

•   Collaborated with donors and development personnel in the realization of four new endowed scholarships for the department and the final stages of a gift that endowed the department ($5M)

•   Contributed to realizing a gift-in-kind to the institution of a significant personal book and slide library on Asian art

•   Conducted tenure/promotion reviews for faculty and general reviews for staff and adjunct faculty

•   Conducted eight successful full-time, tenure-track faculty searches in four years General

structure (all art spaces, public spaces and building signage) •   Developed the department’s assessment plan

•   Developed and implemented the institution’s first college-wide teaching evaluation system which included the evaluation instrument, the schedule and method for administering evaluation, and divisional committees to summarize the results and assist professors with the use of the evaluations for teaching
