The System

The pascom alarm server is based on a client-server architecture and with its modular system we can cus-tomize it to fit your needs perfectly - an affordable and easily upgradeable system. Due to its different inter-faces, it can be integrated into your existing technical infrastructure without any problems.

Stability, reliability and security are the minimum requirements fulfilled by the pascom alarm server. Uninterrupted power supply, watchdog monitoring, remote maintenance and security logging are a must have for every alarm system.

Operation

In case of an emergency signal sent from an internal or external alarm sensor, the alarm server independently contacts both internal and external rescue teams and informs them via text message or spoken message of the situation.

In order to provide maximum security a predefined number of emergency calls has to be acknowledged after an alarm notification. If an alarm is not acknow-ledged the system can contact the person again after a set time.

Escalation plan

In case the number of alarm acknowledgements falls below a defined minimum the escalation plan beco-mes effective. This means further participants can be connected. The system will repeat this until enough helpers have reached the scene of emergency.

The simplest type of alarm triggering is by using poten-tial-free contacts such as relays or alarm buttons.

„ Remote activation via telephone

The alarm can also be triggered by identification via PIN code after calling an alarm number from a hard-line or mobile phone.

„ IT-network

Using TCP / IP protocols, the alarm server can easily connect to your existing network (e.g. BMS) and auto-nomously contact the people responsible in case of specific emergencies.

„ Personal alarm

If a personal alarm is triggered the connection to the pascom alarm server can provide rapid and efficient help.

„ System alerting

The pascom alarm server is ready for any

kind of alarm.

„ Medical emergencies:

It is of greatest importance to not only contact the rescue and emergency resuscitation teams in time, but also provide them with the most essential informations as fast as possible.

„ Technical problems:

Equipment failures or technical failures can often draw disastrous consequences. To avoid or prevent serious damage a incident-driven selective alarm call to the people responsible is absolutely essential.

„ Danger alarms such as fire or burglary:

Dangers such as a fire or a break-in must be recog-nized by the already installed technical equipment and immediately forwarded to the alarm server. A reli-able notification of the fire department, the police, the security service or other authorities is in a situation like that of great importance.

„ Evacuation:

In case of an emergency all people currently in the building need to be informed and briefed on the upco-ming evacuation. Therefore, the warning and instruc-tion messages of the alarm server are programmable in various different languages to help and reach all people.

„ Other services:

The top priority of an alarm system besides triggering the alarm as fast as possible must be the timely notifi-cation of the corresponding group of people. Because of this the pascom alarm server supports both audible and visual alarms.

The ringtone can be changed to either 'normal' or 'urgent'. Depending on the configuration of your telephone system, the system also provides you with options such as continuous tone, call interruption or intrusion.

For optimal security you can optionally enable the multiline function, which allows you to notify a person even during a phone call provided that the specific telephone has not activated call forwarding.

Media:

Both wired and mobile internal or external devices can be contacted and informed in writing and lan-guage of the emergency with the pascom alarm server. For example, the following media can be contacted:

Alarm receiver

Alerting individuals and groups:

Informing an individual person or an entire group of people responsible in a specific case of emergency, which you defined beforehand, is easy and user-friendly with the alarm server. Depending on the situ-ation different communicsitu-ational channels for indivi-duals or groups can be chosen. If one of the alarms is not acknowledged, for example via the internal tele-phone, then the system automatically sends a notifica-tion with the next medium on the list.

Administration

pascom WebClient, web-based administration tool

In management, processing and analysis the system supports you with its Windows interface. The requi-red training for your employees will be requi-reduced to a minimum.

Due to the client/server architecture of the alarm server, you can change your data directly on the server or any other personal computer connected to the buil-ding network.

pascom fail over box

The pascom fail over box allows fail-safe operation of the contact box. It controls the functionality of the main and backup server.

If the master server doesn´t work, the pascom FailO-verBox switches to the backup server. So a fail-safe operation of the contact box is possible.

Monitoring of the alarm server

The pascom contact box is used to monitor the alarm server and for reading and setting of alarms.
