BIBLE BUDDIES

Deepen your knowledge, understanding, and application of the Bible in this verse-by-verse Bible study. Share your insights on various books of the Bible with meaningful discussions about how to apply the Word of God to your everyday life. This semester, we are studying the Book of Luke.

Day, Time & Location of Group: This group meets every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. (right after 1st service) at the

church outside on the Basketball Court. Bring your own chair.

WIRED TO THE WORD

Wired to the Word is a group who seeks to learn and grow in our faith through studying the Bible, other books, and video studies with Biblical teachers. We are a mixed group of all ages of adults. We have members who have the "gift" of teaching and we are blessed by the use of their gift.

REVELATION: A PROMISED BLESSING

This study of Revelation is an expository (verse by verse) teaching of this book. We go chapter-by-chapter and verse-by-verse through the entire book of Revelation. I will teach the scripture, the story, the prophesy, the history and all significant viewpoints of the many controversial passages in Revelation. We will have a time of worship and prayer to prepare our hearts, then we will dig deep into the Word and end with Q&A. Video recordings will be available for those that are interested but cannot attend.

THE POWER OF PRAYER

SPECIAL NEEDS MINISTRY

SHINING LIGHTS

Shining Lights Ministry’s purpose is to guide the spiritual growth of Special Needs adults through Bible study, music, and outreach, in a caring Christian environment. The vision is to instill in all the certainty that God loves them and to build them up in the name of Christ, letting them know they are equally important in God’s eyes. All Special Needs adults are welcome regardless of gender, race, creed, ethnicity, or religion. To be a part, you must be a Special Needs Adult, 18 years or older.

Day, Time & Location of Group: Meetings have not resumed in person since COVID, but generally we meet

on 4th Tuesday of the month (except for July) from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. at the church. Email or call if you are interested in joining.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY

SUNDAY MORNING KINDLE GROUPS Leaders: Leaders vary depending on age/grade

HISkidz Ministry will now be broken up into four main groups for our Preschool and Elementary aged

kiddos! The groups are broken up as listed below and will be referred to as Kindle Groups. The purpose of the kindle groups is to provide more opportunities for purposeful connections- relationship building with peers and with God. Here at HISkidz, we want our kids to be ON FIRE FOR GOD--- and a fire starts with some kindle. The goal will be that our kids are so on fire for God that they feel passionate about sharing the gospel with others and that they take personal ownership of their own faith walk with God.

Age Breakdowns:

Fireflies (3 & 4 year-old)

Sparks (K – 1st Grade) Ignite (2nd – 3rd Grade) Flame (4th – 5th Grade)

Day, Time & Location of Group: Sundays at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. Children will be checked in at the HISkidz

station in the main lobby prior to the start of the church service.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT REKINDLE GROUPS Leaders: Ms. Missy and the HISkidz Team

ReKindle takes place on Wednesday nights from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on ZOOM. The purpose is to provide a

virtual opportunity for kids to reconnect with one another during the week. This is also great for those who are not ready to meet with us in person on Sunday mornings. There will be a time of praise and worship, an activity or game, Bible lesson or story, and a short prayer. Curriculum for ReKindle will closely follow Sunday small group curriculum! Materials are downloadable and sent out via email on Tuesday. Age Breakdowns:

Fireflies (3 & 4 year-old): 6:00-6:30 p.m.

Sparks (K – 1st Grade): 6:30-7:00 p.m. Ignite (2nd – 3rd Grade): 7:00-7:30 p.m. Flame (4th – 5th Grade): 7:30-8:00 p.m. Day, Time & Location of Group: Wednesday nights from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. by age group. If your kids are

interested in joining, email Ms. Missy to be added to the HISkidz email list.

FLAME (4TH & 5TH GRADERS)

Flame meets for a time of learning & activity for our 4th and 5th graders. Once a month we have an on-site event or go off-site (time varies depending on trip) for a fellowship time as a group to better get to know one another. A current notarized Parent Consent and Medical Authorization Form, is required. Parent

involvement is essential.

Day, Time & Location of Group: 2nd Friday of the month during the school year. The time and location vary

based on activity. Contact Ms. Missy to sign up.

STUDENT MINISTRIES

MIDDLE SCHOOL YOUTH GROUP (6TH – 8TH GRADE) Leader: Joel Figueroa - 727-785-7487 / [email protected]

Join us on Wednesday night at 6:00 p.m. for a night of live worship, youth related Bible messages, fun games, free food, and breakout groups. For all middle school students grades 6th - 8th.

Youth Room (A208).

HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH GROUP (9TH – 12TH GRADE) Leader: Joel Figueroa - 727-785-7487 / [email protected]

Out of respect and support to our families that are staying home we have an online option just for you! Each week, we will have all the elements of our in-person Youth Group, just adapted for online. All you need is phone, tablet, or computer and you are all set.

STUDENT SMALL GROUPS

The impact of the small group experience on students over the years is yet to be fully realized. Several small groups still get together 4-5 years beyond high school graduation to reunite and reconnect with each other even though they don’t all go to the same college or even still have ties to Palm Harbor.

Day, Time & Location of Group: Throughout the week we offer grade and gender specific small groups. These

groups offer your student a chance to take the next step and dive deeper into their faith alongside other students. Groups meet anywhere from Chick-fil-A to Chipotle, to the youth room.

MEN’S MINISTRY

GUY’S NIGHT

Men! Guy's Night is a time for food, discussion, and community. Our desire for this group is to be a gathering of men from the church who can encourage one another, hang out, eat together and walk this life called Christianity side-by-side.

PROMISE SEEKERS

Promise Keepers is a movement of men that encourages men to be better Disciples of Christ, husbands and fathers. These promises are embraced throughout the class. Our goal is to learn more about walking this Christian life in a manor pleasing to Our Lord; it is also about building relationships with each other. Sometimes we just sit and talk in a group setting with folks sharing what is on their heart. What is said in our meetings stays in our meetings. Various studies are either in book form or from RightNow Media.

MEN OF PRAYER

As Men of Prayer, our primary purpose is praying for needs in our church, the community, and the world. Please join us for a time of refreshing by the Holy Spirit through our prayers and the Word. The group is open to all men who wish to participate. Drop-ins are always welcome.

WINGMEN

Wingmen is a group of Christian men sharing faith, fellowship, and food. It is important for the men of the church to gather together for fellowship and community. Please come and join us. The price per person is ~$15, which includes wings, a drink, and tip. We pay with one check for the whole group so please bring cash.

WOMEN’S MINISTRY

LIFT (LADIES IN FELLOWSHIP TOGETHER)

In LIFT (formerly MOPS), our mission is to go forth, gather, encourage, develop and grow all mothers and caregivers to realize their potential as women, mothers and leaders in the name of Jesus Christ. “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.” We meet together to

decompress, recharge, and develop meaningful friendships in the midst of mothering. Our meetings include brunch, speakers, crafts, and lots of conversation. It’s a time to connect with moms in the same season, as well as mentor moms who have traveled this road ahead of us. While moms are connecting with other moms, the little ones enjoy fun activities and snacks in the nursery.

few exceptions) at the church in room A202-203.

HARBOR ANGELS WOMEN’S MINISTRY

A community of Christian women who desire to grow closer in relationship with God through Jesus, to develop a joyous and supportive fellowship with other women through God’s love, and to give back to the community through participation in various mission opportunities.

This is a Covenant Group of women who desire to grow deeper in our faith, volunteerism, and to give to those in need. We alternate study between Books of the Bible and other Christian literature. This group takes their calling to study seriously and each woman is held accountable to a group covenant.

THURSDAY MORNING WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY

This semester, we are studying Jeremiah: Daring to Hope in an Unstable World by Melissa Spoelstra. Jeremiah offers women hope for living in an uncertain world by learning to navigate the challenges and circumstances of their lives. This six-week study examines God’s words of instruction to His wayward people through the prophet Jeremiah, and provides women six guidelines for intentional living to overcome fear, worry, and doubt as they surrender their will to God’s and put their hope in Him alone. The cost of the workbook is $15.00. If you would like to join the study or have questions or nursery needs, contact Karen. Come join us for great study and fellowship.

COURAGEOUS SISTERS

This group is set to bring together women who are going through the trials of cancer in a loving, supportive Christian atmosphere. The ladies strive to listen in love, share our trials, laugh and pray together, share information, and support each other. This group has evolved into a small group for continued support and assistance for others going through cancer. Our theme is: “We Are Overcomers!”
