Luxury Dollhouse Raffle - Included is a one-of-a-kind handcrafted dollhouse which measures 4 ½ feet high by 7 feet wide (scaled for 18 inch dolls), completely furnished, and The American Girl Doll of the year, Kira Bailey. A limited number of 60 tickets will be offered after every mass in November until they are sold out OR call Susanne at 785-493-1296. The drawing will be Sunday, November 28th after 10:30 mass. The tickets will be offered for a suggested donation of $50 apiece. The proceeds go to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton’s Children’s Liturgy program. The Dollhouse will be on display in the mezzanine area. Donated by Rob and Susanne Somers!
The story of this dollhouse began a year ago when Rob was asked by the St. Elizabeth’s Women’s Group to build something as a donation for our church. We talked about it and agreed that it needed to be something that would delight and provide joy for someone. Being parents and grandparents, you think of children. Rob, being a girl dad, has had a lot of experience with building dollhouses, and so it was decided. It has truly been a pleasure to see it come together and anticipate the many hours of fun it will provide for the lucky recipient!

Currently, nearly 16,000 Catholic households receive a monthly newspaper and a quarterly faith magazine at no cost. Additionally, we offer online resources, such as media and podcasts, at no cost. Would you consider making a gift to the Catholic Conversations Drive (formerly called the Publication Drive)? Your gift would help offset the cost to produce, print and mail our publications, as well as support our online communication efforts. Visit salinadiocese.org to make your gift today! Inspire us to respond to the call to faithful citizenship, during election season and beyond.
Help us to imitate your charity and compassion and to serve as models of loving dialogue.
Teach us to treat others with respect, even when we disagree, and seek to share your love
and mercy.

The Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary
God wants us to have complete joy. Jesus said: “I have told you this so that my joy might be in you and your joy might be complete” (John 15:11).
The Joyful Mysteries are typically prayed on Mondays and Saturdays.
The First Joyful Mystery: The Annunciation
Scripture: Luke 1: 26-38: The angel Gabriel visited Mary and Mary’s “yes” changed the world. Imagine the courage Mary must have had to say yes. She was asked to be the mother of the savior, the mother of God. And what the angel said made no earthly sense.
The Second Joyful Mystery: The Visitation of Elizabeth by Mary
Scripture: Luke 1: 39-45: After Mary said yes to the angel’s request, she went to visit her cousin, Elizabeth, who was pregnant in her old age. It was Mary’s immediate reaction. Her care for others was deep and immense.
The Third Joyful Mystery: The Birth of Jesus
Scripture: Luke 2: 1-7: The humility of God is incredible.
He chose to limit himself and become one like us in all ways but sin. We don’t deserve it. God expresses his love for us in a powerful, yet humble, way.
The Fourth Joyful Mystery: The Presentation of Jesus in the Temple
Scripture: Luke 2: 22-38: Mary and Joseph presented Jesus at the temple in Jerusalem, dedicating him to God according to the Jewish custom. As they did so, a man named Simeon said something astounding, “Master, now you are dismissing your servant in peace, according to your word; for my eyes have seen your salvation”
(Luke 2:29-30).
The Fifth Joyful Mystery: The Finding of Jesus in the Temple
Scripture: Luke 2: 41-52: On their way home from celebrating the Passover in Jerusalem, Mary and Joseph actually lost Jesus. As parents, they must have had a wide range of emotions: grief, torment, distress, anguish, torture.
