Balachadi Beach

Background:

Along the golden sands of the Gulf of Kutch, lies a

patch of land, beautiful in its rare wealth of flora

and fauna. Balachadi has a rich historic past. People

visit the beach of Balachadi has a rich historic

past. People visit the beach of Balachadi in large

number, for offering prayers to their dear

departed ones. Legend claims that Balachadi was the ancient Dwaraka, ruled by Lord

Krishna. Balachadi also enjoyed the privilege of being the Summer resort of the local

elite for quite a long time. Quite befittingly Balachadi unfolded her cosy wings to

house the uprooted polish children during the Nazi outrage of Poland in the Second

World War. The survivors of this outrage visited Balachadi which gave asylum to them

at a tender age.

Sachana Ship Breaking Yard

Ship breaking or ship demolition is a type of recycling involving the breaking up of ships for scrap. Most ships have a lifespan of a few decades before there is so much wear that refitting and repair becomes uneconomic. Ship breaking allows for materials from the ship, especially steel, to be given a new life in a new vessel.

A see-through truth, as each and every ship scrap is valued by one or another. Millions of tons of steel are

recycled by re-rolling mills. Many mechanical spares find their applications in one-way or other. Various electrical components hold special value for the fixed set of customers. And the list goes on. A truly strong platform then, to promote re-usability of products, which are otherwise considered to be SCRAP. Also deserves special compliments, as many of these do not require re-processing and so no incidence to consume power and water.

Today, most ship breaking yards are in other nations, principally Pakistan, Bangladesh, and India, due to lower labor costs and less stringent environmental regulations dealing with the disposal of lead paint and other toxic substances
