Common Shortcuts
!
• Use the 1,2 3 keys for “no, Maybe and Yes”
• Use the Alt/Opt key as the “make better” key….. • Use the Tab key to show and hide your sidebars
• Use the G key to show the grid in working with rooms.
• Use the Tab + shift keys to show/hide info bar, select size view or working with rooms. • Use the Q key to show the quick order fly out menu.
• Use Cmd + M to “mirror” your display.
• Use Opt + Drag to move an image in a layout • Use the Up & Down Arrow Keys to change size
• Cmd/Ctrl + T to open an original image in Photoshop
• Cmd/Ctrl + U to reload an edited image back into ProSelect. • C to see a crop. Opt + 0 to remove crop.

Quick Book Creation

Highlight several images ad drag to a template to “auto-populate” a
book.

Or Load your page layouts in the display area, then drag your images

Designed a Book You Love?

Templates > Save a Book to a New Group
•
This will create a new template group for the book you have just
created, allowing you to use the same design at a future session.

Album>Join Book Pages.

Templates Tips
Need to organize your templates?

The template manager is your best friend!
•
You can sort, group and categorize templates
•
You can even go straight to the template editor from here.

Want to consistently apply a style or
frame to a template?

Templates>Edit templates
•
Click the style or frame icon in the lower right of the template
window.
Need to quickly edit a PSD overlay?

Photoshop” icon.

Exporting For Your Clients
There are several ways to export, images,
slideshows, album layouts and proof sheets so they can be printed or emailed to a client.!

1. Sample Images - AKA Low Res Files. Web
sized images for upload to an online gallery, FB or for emailing.!
File>Export>Sample Images>or Selected Sample Images!

-make sure your Preferences settings are set to import that largest file possible. This makes

This will take a screenshot or snapshot of the current display area.

2. Click the camera icon on the right tool bar.

You can export a QuickTime Slideshow movie of your
clients images in DVD,
Iphone, Ipad or PDA format for upsales or showings.!

-Use this to promote on FB or even sell as a product to your clients.

You can export file names of your clients images in their PS album.
Helpful for production employees who need a list of images your client is
considering or as a hard copy for your clients working file folder.!

Backing Up ProSelect!
Other than your Preferences settings, most of the configuration information that ProSelect uses is saved in two places:!
• ProSelect_Data.xml file - This contains your prices, templates, styles, frame setup, room setup etc. (There is no image data saved in this file.)!
• ProSelect Resources folder - This contains any images associated with the
above, such as overlay images on templates, room view images, frame segments, mat/background images etc.!

Lesser Known Tips
Inside ProSelect
Alt/Opt key

*Use it to drag images inside a layout when in “view” (eyeball)
mode.

No more having to switch to cropping mode to adjust images!

!
* Use alt/opt in cropping mode to adjust your aspect ratio.
!
Pressing it will free crop your image rather than snapping to
specific ratios.
!
!
* Use C key to see a selected crop.
Use alt/opt + 0 (zero) to delete
Right Click

Right click on any viewing mode
or tool that has an arrow on its
right side. A pop up menu will
appear of the features available
for this tool/view mode.
