(14) Student Council Pikeville High School Student Council is our newest organization, having been formed this year. This is the realization of a long time dream for Pike High students. The organizing was done through a faculty-student committee headed by Mrs. Jeanette Elder. Those elected were Paul Corbin, President; Larry Coleman, Vice-President; Betsy Elder, Secretary; and Selma Dawahare, Treasurer.. His career was interrupted during World War II when he served in the Air Force.
