Over the past 18 months the global financial industry has gone through a huge transformation. Wall Street traders have been using advanced analytics and power trading strategies for some time, but regulators and investors have become increasingly concerned about risk management. This is driving a growing need for better analysis of contingent liabilities arising from complex financial instruments, liquidity requirements and capital levels. With the hope that the increased capital levels will help avert the next financial crisis, regulators around the globe are increasing the liquidity requirements for banks.

Balancing between large volumes of data, throughput, and accuracy has always been a challenge.
