1. Installing SC-SED Driver

How to install the SC-SED Driver:

To install the SC-SED driver application please follow the step-by-step instructions

provided here.

Firstly,download the setup file of SC-SED Driver to do so click on the link provided below:

 Once the file will be downloaded double click on the setup file (as shown in the image) to start the installation.

 If you get security warning message while running the setup then click on Run

button.

 List of software requirements which are necessary to be installed on the system prior to the installation of SC-SED Driver will be shown in this window (as shown in the given image).

Click on Install button to start the process.

 Downloading of Windows Installer 3.1 will start. Please wait for few minutes it will take time.

Please Note:

 Installation of Windows Installer 3.1 is not required in case Windows Vista and Windows 7. So,it will not be displayed in the pending requirement list.

 Also,in case Windows Installer 3.1 is already installed on your system. It will not show in the Software Requirement list and this component will be skipped.  Once the downloading of Windows Installer 3.1 is completed its installation

process will start automatically.

 Now, installation of windows Installer 3.1 will be started. You will get the screen as shown in the image.

 Click on "I Agree” radio button and then click on Next button.

 Please wait checking system configuration. It will take few minutes.

 Click on Finish button.

 Installation of Windows Installer 3.1 is finished.

 If you are prompted for system Reboot then click on Yes. After system restart installation process will start automatically.

 

 Similarly,other components will be downloaded and installed one by one automatically. Also,in the installation window you will get the message as

Succeeded in front of every component.



 Once the downloading of .Net Framework 4.0 will be completed you will get the screen as shown in the image below:

Select the Option "I have read and accept the license terms” and click on "Install”

button.

 Please wait setup is installing the components

 Click on Finish button.

Installation of Microsoft .Net Framework 4.0 is completed.

 Click on Install button to proceed further.



 Now, installation of SC-SED driver is successfully completed on your system. Click on Finish button to exit the setup.

This will install the application SC-SED driver on your system. You will get the shortcut icon of SC-SED driver on the desktop.

2. Initializing the Gemalto Token:

To start using the Gemalto token insert it in the USB drive. Please ensure that Green light should blink in it continuously.

Now,openSC-SED driver by double click on its icon created on desktop. Or You can also open it through "Start-->All Programs-->Gemalto-->SC-SED Driver". You will get the following screen as displayed in the image below:

In the Select Card panel it will display the Token name as:

Select the Card,if you have not saved Owner Information. You will be prompt for updating the Owner Information.

Click on Yes to enter it,else click on No.

hen you click on "Yes",it will ask for Token password.

Enter it and click on OK.

Fill your details :

Name Department Organization

Click on OK.

Once information is updated. You will get the screen as shown here in the image. Displaying Owner Information along with other details.

Note: In case you need to copy or send Token serial number through e-mail for any

support related assistance. We have provided a very simple procedure to do the same,click on the serial number given in Token Information (given in red color).

You will get the following dialog box if you click on Yes it will directly open the

Microsoft Outlook(if it is configured) along with the serial number in the e-mail subject. Else,if you click No you can copy the serial number anywhere like

Notepad,Wordpad,etc.

Logging (Connect) on to Token:

For performing any operations on token you need to login into token first. To do so, double click on

Login button given in upper right panel of the window. Enter the Token Password.

Click on OK

Now,you have login into token and can manage the Digital Certificates.

Logout (Disconnect) from the Token:

Once you have finished with your work managing the certificates we recommend you to properly logout from the application.

To do so,double click on the Log Out button given in upper right panel of the window.

This will exit the from the application SC-SED Driver and you can unplug the Gemalto Token securely.

3. Viewing certificates using Internet Explorer

How to view certificates using Internet Explorer:

Internet Explorer (IE) stores certificates for all Microsoft applications because they all share the same security context. To view certificates stored on your system using Internet browser please go through the steps mentioned below:

 To access your certificate cache in IE, in the Tools menu, select Internet Options

Click the Certificates tab to display your certificate store. You will get the list of certificates along with there details (as shown below).
