Formed in 1978 the company was initially involved in the servicing and repair of industrial burners. From this independent position the company developed a strong reputation in the steam and combustion markets, expanding the range of services to include statutory boiler inspections, repairs and mechanical works specifically for the boiler house.
With over 30 years of hands-on experience with industrial steam boiler plant and boiler house operations, JBC offer a nationwide boiler service, repair and
maintenance teams working across all sectors and size of operations. JBC Training is the training division of the JBC Group, providing CEA accredited steam boiler operative training.

Boiler Operative Accreditation Scheme (BOAS)
Duration 5 Days - Classroom or Site Based
This course provides training to achieve a level of competency as mentioned in BG01 guidelines as an appropriate industry standard for those responsible for operation/ownership of a steam raising plant. Cert: IBO for operators. Cert: Dip.BOM for managers.
BOAS Refresher Course
As part of maintaining your CEA accreditation you are required to undergo both a refresher and re-assessment every 5 years.

Safe Operation & Boiler Awareness (SOBA)
Duration 1 Day - Site Based
This course gives the basic knowledge that operators need to qualify to reach the BOAS standard as mentioned in BG01.
Maintenance & Operation of Boiler (MOB)
Duration 2 Days - Site Based
An intensive course designed to provide boiler operators, maintenance staff, plant technicians and boiler engineers a thorough grounding in the everyday operation and maintenance of boilers, burners and boiler plant equipment equipment.
The course also covers the relevant Health and Safety issues, fault identification and emergency situations.
Boiler Operative Safety & Health (BOSH)
Duration 1 day - Site Based
Risk Assessment is something we carry out every day without often thinking, however we need to take extra care identifying problem areas relating to steam plant. This course is an introduction for the need for risk assessment, identification of risks/hazards and a suitable control hierarchy.
