HYLA NST Cleaning System
The HYLA NST Cleaning System aspirates and cleans the air through a water- based filtration process. The system is intended for household use only.
Applications:
• Usual domestic dry vacuuming
• Deep cleaning with Electro Brush and Turbo Brushes
• Wet vacuuming
• Wet cleaning of hard floors
• Wet cleaning of carpeted floors and upholstery

Important Safety Instructions
When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:

WARNING
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury:
• Do not leave appliance when plugged in. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before servicing.
• Use indoors only.
• Do not allow to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used by or near children.
• Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer's recommended attachments.
• Do not use with damaged cord or plug. If appliance is not working as it should, has been dropped, left outdoors, or dropped into water, return it to a service center.
• Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not run appliance over cord.
Keep cord away from heated rooms.
• Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
• Do not handle plug or appliance with wet hands.
• Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts.
• Turn off all controls before unplugging.
• Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.
• Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids, such as gasoline, or use in areas where they may be present.
• This appliance is provided with double insulation. Use only identical replacement parts. See Instructions for Servicing of Double-Insulated Appliances.
• Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.
• Do not use without water as filter in the water pan.
• Always turn off this appliance before connecting or disconnecting electro brush.
• The unit is intended for attended operation only.

Preparation for Use
Fill the Water Pan with fresh, clean water up to the top of the pin located in the center of the Water Pan.

Deep Cleaning of Carpeted Floors
WITH ELECTRO BRUSH
Set-up for the Electro Brush Set
Always turn off the main switch of the HYLA system before connecting or disconnecting the Electro Brush! To assemble ensure the Electro Brush is firmly set on a flat surface and swivel neck is in parked upright locked position. Directly face the Electro Brush to align the fully extended Telescopic Wand and gently insert spring button into position. Insert the handle of the Flexible Electro Hose into the Telescopic Wand. Align the handle with cord canal. Hold the electro cord plug while sliding the electro cord upward in the cord canal. Open
outlet cover and insert plug. Clip excess cord to the lower portion of the Telescopic Wand. Take loose end of Flexible Electro Hose and connect into the HYLA Water Pan Plug electro cord into the Motor Unit Assembly outlet.
GETTING READY TO USE THE ELECTRO BRUSH
Turn on the main switch on the HYLA. To activate Electro Brush, release from its parked upright locked position by pressing the button located to the left of the swivel neck. You will notice a green light indicating operation.
Now you are ready to clean! In order to turn off the Electro Brush, place handle in parked upright locked position. Then turn off the main switch on the HYLA.
TROUBLESHOOTING
The Electro Brush is equipped with an electronic circuit board for safety purposes. The red light located to the right of the Electro Brush is an indication the motor has been shut off to avoid overload. Place in parked upright locked position and turn off HYLA. After clearing any objects, press the red reset button
located to the rear right of the Electro Brush. You may restart by turning on the main switch on the HYLA.
MAINTENANCE
Disconnect power from the Electro Brush.
Textile fibers can be removed from the brush by cutting them
and vacuuming.
Deep Cleaning of Upholstery
WITH HAND TURBO BRUSH (Optional)
The Hand Turbo Brush is air driven. It is designed for dry pick up only. A crevice tool is integrated.
Maintenance:
• Disconnect the power cord from the power source
• Textile fibers can be removed from the brush by carefully cutting them and vacuuming
Dry Vacuuming
Wet Vacuuming
• Do not use the NST Electro Brush, Hand Turbo Brush or Multi-Purpose Brush on wet surfaces!
• Fill the Water Pan with 1/2the water, which will reach the middle of the center pin (approx. 1/2gallon).
• Use caution when vacuuming liquids not to exceed maximum level in the Water Pan (top of the center pin).
Blowing
• Remove Exhaust Grid on Motor Unit Assembly,
• Connect Flexible Hose to the Exhaust.
After Each Use
1. Turn off the main switch and disconnect the power cord from the power source, 2. Empty the Water Pan immediately after each use and rinse with clean water, 3. Wipe the underside of the Motor Unit Assembly using a wet cloth. Do not rinse
the Motor Unit Assembly with water!
4. It is important to vent and store the HYLA System as shown, which will allow it to dry quickly after every use.
Warning!
• Disconnect the Power Cord from the power source before removing the Motor Unit

HYLA Disinfectants
HYLA Air Disinfectant is especially formulated for use with the HYLA Cleaning System. When added to the water in your Water Pan, the air is filtered, cleaned, and disinfected from germs, bacteria and mildew!
HYLA Surface Disinfectant is especially formulated for use with the HYLA Cleaning System, which has the combined effect of cleaning and disinfecting while making surfaces germ, bacteria and mildew-free!
HYLA NST Wet Cleaning System (Optional)
This system is an integral part of the HYLA NST Cleaning System and is designed for the wet cleaning of:
• Most hard floors (ceramics, tiles, vinyl, etc.)
• Most kinds of carpets
• Upholstery & car seats
• Additional Spraying Function

Preparation for Use:
• Fill the Fresh Water Tank with maximum of 0.8 gallon of water,
• Fill Water Pan with 1/2the water, which will reach the middle of the center pin (approx. 1/2gallon),
• Mount the Fresh Water Tank on top of the Motor Unit Assembly,
• Screw the Connection Cap in firmly and connect the air pres- sure tube to the back of the Motor Unit Assembly,
• Connect the Flexible Suction Hose to the Water Pan and connect the Fresh Water Tube to the Fresh Water
Wet Cleaning of Hard Floors
• Connect the Fresh Water Tube to the Hard Floor Nozzle,
• Turn on the main switch and pull the valve trigger to start the water flow,
• Clean the floor by moving the Nozzle back and forth with the suction wand held at an angle allowing clearance of the squeegee strip from the floor,
• Release the valve trigger and dry the cleaned floor by moving the Nozzle back- wards with the suction wand held at an angle allowing direct contact of the squeegee strip with the floor,
• Use Caution during wet cleaning so you do not exceed the maximum level in the Water Pan (top of center pin).
Warning! Wet floors may be slippery!
Wet Cleaning of Carpeted Floors
• Connect the Fresh Water Tube to the Carpet Nozzle,
• Turn on the main switch and pull the valve trigger to start the water flow,
• Wash the carpet by moving the Nozzle back and forth with the suction wand held at an angle allowing clearance of the front edge of the Nozzle from the carpet. Do not soak the carpet!
• Release the valve trigger and dry the cleaned carpet by moving the Nozzle backwards with the suction wand held at an angle allowing direct contact of the front edge of the Nozzle with the carpet.
• Use caution during wet cleaning so you do not exceed maximum level in the Water Pan (top of center pin).
Wet Cleaning of Upholstery
• Connect the Upholstery Nozzle to the suction hose,
• Turn on the main switch and pull the valve trigger to start the water flow,
• Wash upholstery by moving the Upholstery Nozzle back and forth held at an angle allowing clearance of front edge from the upholstery. Do not soak the upholstery!
• Release the valve trigger and dry the cleaned upholstery by moving the nozzle Upholstery Nozzle backward held at an angle allowing direct contact of front edge with the upholstery.
• Use caution during wet cleaning so you do not exceed maximum level in the Water Pan (top of the center pin).
Spraying
• Remove Exhaust Grid on the back of the Motor Unit Assembly,
• Connect the Flexible Hose into the Exhaust,
• Firmly screw the Connection Cap and connect the air pressure tube to the back of the Motor Unit Assembly,
• Connect the Spray Nozzle to the Flexible Hose and connect the Fresh Water Tube,
• Turn on the main switch and pull the

• Use only HYLA liquid cleansers. Using other cleansers may damage your system!
• Before refilling the Fresh Water Tank, empty the Water Pan and refill it with 1/2
the water, which will reach the middle of the center pin (approx. 1/2gallon).

Refer to the Limited Factory Warranty located in your warranty card for detailed information regarding technical support. If you should have any questions regarding applications, operation or technical support for your HYLA System, please contact the local HYLA Distributor from whom your system was purchased.
HYLA honors the Limited Factory Warranty included with the system when purchased through an authorized independent HYLA Distributor. Warranty will not be honored for purchases from external sources! HYLA ONLY honors warranty for HYLAs purchased from authorized Distributors by in-home demonstrations—not vacuum stores or via Internet. Warranty is NOT an option for unauthorized parties due to inaccessibility of parts as they are NOT qualified, authorized HYLA service personnel.

Please be sure to have your serial number available, which is located under the handle on top of the HYLA.
