ORGANISATIONAL CONTEXT

The National Health Call Centre Network Ltd (NHCCN), now trading as Healthdirect Australia, was formed in 2007 as a COAG initiative to establish and coordinate integrated national telephone helplines and electronic health information services. The Company is jointly owned by the Commonwealth Government and participating States and Territories, with the intent to improve the Australian healthcare system by enabling access to high quality health advice, triage, referral and health information.
