6. Single Line Diagram (SLD) Requirements:

A Single Line Diagram (SLD) must be provided that shows the project proposal from the

generator / PV array to the connection point to Toronto Hydro’s distribution system. This diagram will include, in detail, all electrical components required to complete the installation. Such

components to include (but not be limited to); generator equipment (including the number of PV panels, inverters, and their ratings), disconnect switches, meter base sockets, splitter troughs, phase loss protection, transformers, cables, protective relays / devices, metering, synchronizing etc.

The Single-Line diagram requires a title block to indicate the following;

• OPA MicroFIT Reference Number (7-digit form: FIT-MXXXXXX)

• Location’s Address

• Output Voltage and phase to the distribution system

• Solar Array Rating (kW)

• Inverter Rating (kW)

• Nameplate Capacity (kW)

Note(1): Single-phase inverters on a three-phase service will not be permitted. Only three-phase inverters on three-phase services will be accepted.

Note(2): If the project includes upgrades to existing EG facilities, show the existing and new electrical equipment.

Be sure that the diagram is complete, and has the proper information in the title block for each location. This is required in order to have your connection request processed.

(If you are unsure of how to create a proper Single-Line Diagram, please consult a qualified professional for assistance.)
