students and teachers to experience over 100 interactive simulations and activities across health care careers. With your VILC registration, you have been given a unique username and password to login and get exploring! Preview available Simulations here.
Remember, students can compete in the MINDTAP EXPLORER SCAVENGER HUNT from Wednesday, June 23rd at 12:00am - noon Friday, June 25th for a chance to be acknowledged during the 3:15 pm Grand Ceremony as well as a $1,000 scholarship! Instructions for
the Scavenger Hunt are included below.

1. Navigate to https://k12.cengage.com/portal/Account/LogOn?DistrictLoginCode=EQOK. 2. On the next screen, enter the Username and Password you received via email from

3. You will now be able to access simulations by course title in your NGLSync dashboard. Click “Launch Course” to navigate to simulations across health care careers. Use the information below for a detailed list of the activities you will encounter.

The MindTap Exploration Center Scavenger Hunt is a competition available to all HOSA student members as part of their registration with HOSA’s 2021 Virtual International Leadership
Conference. Members answer a series of questions as they explore MindTap Health Science simulations and virtual labs available in the MindTap Simulation Center. All answers should be submitted using the MindTap Explorer Scavenger Hunt online survey available here.
HOW DO I PARTICIPATE?
1. Login to your unique MindTap Simulation Center account between Wednesday, June 23rd 12:00am EST and Friday, June 25th 12:00pm EST. If you need help with finding your login information, please contact: 1-800-321-HOSA.
2. Navigate to the MindTap Explorer Scavenger Hunt online survey here and read the questions. The questions you will find on the form are also found below in this document. 3. Then navigate to the simulation or lab within your MindTap Simulation Center account to
find the answer and submit your answers using the survey. You only need to fill out the survey once. Feel free write your answers below and then fill out the online form at one time.
WHAT CAN I WIN?
All HOSA student members who submit all correct answers in the MindTap Explorer Scavenger Hunt form between Wednesday, June 23rd 12:00am EST and Friday, June 25th 12:00pm EST will be eligible for a raffle for a chance to win one of two $1,000 student scholarships and will be acknowledged during the Grand Ceremony at 3:15pm EST on Saturday, June 26th. NOTE:
MindTap tracks each user’s amount of time spent in the simulations. The survey will ask for your MindTap Simulation Center Username and only student members who have accessed the
courses will be eligible for the student scholarships.

Learning Lab” and click “Start Assignment Now.” A new window will open. If it does not, please check your browser settings to ensure pop-ups are enabled.. Under “Career Library & Profiles,” click “Begin.” Use
the filters on the left-hand side of the screen to filter for careers that require between 2-4 years of Schooling and make between $160-200k a year.

2. Click out of the simulation window and click the X in the upper, right-hand corner to return to the course. Open the “Career Success Learning Labs” folder. Click on the first lab, “Career Success Learning Lab – Communicating with an Angry Patient.” Then click “Start Assignment Now.” A new window will open. If it does not, please check your browser settings to ensure pop-ups are enabled.
Work through the first 3 questions.
