CTA 100 CTA 150i CTA 160i CTA 200 CTA 500dm
===================================================================== | Restrictions and Limitations |
================================ - This product supports only voice calls.
- This product cannot control a priority call from a TAPI application.
===================================================================== | CTA200 Requirements |
=======================
- CTA 200 connected to serial port is supported on all OS's. If you are
using a serial port connection, you should also install CTA100 device driver. - CTA 200 connected to USB port works best with Windows '98 Second
Edition(or greater). USB mode of connection to CTA 200 is not supported on Windows 2000/Me.
Windows '98 Second Edition (also called OSR1) contains fixes for USB hub support in Windows '98 Original Edition. System crashes may occur when the CTA200 is used with USB Hubs and Windows '98 Original Edition.
Windows '98 Second Edition is available as a Service Pack and can be obtained as free download from Microsoft's web site. It can also be obtained from Microsoft on CD-ROM for a fee (summer '99).
- Works best with newer PC-BIOS versions
Some PC-BIOS versions can cause system crashes due to incompatible operation between USB and BIOS features, especially power save features. It is therefore recommended that PC-BIOS be upgraded to the newest version. PC-BIOS updates are normally made available on your PC manufacturer's web site.
- Ensure that USB is turned ON in the computer's BIOS.
===================================================================== | CTA160i Requirements |
========================
- CTA160i is supported on Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP/ME Operating Systems. ===================================================================== | Known Service Provider Problems |
===================================
- A LINEDEVSTATE_CAPSCHANGE message will be generated if any Norstar set used by TAPI is reconfigured. The TSP requires that all applications stop using the set for the changes to be recognized by the TSP. - The service provider will not correctly control a set which is in a KSU administration session or in a paging session during service provider initialization.
- The TAPI Service Provider is unaware of any set activity that occurs before it is started. This includes calls, call forwarding, and DND. This problem is corrected by starting the Norstar TSP Launcher with the Operating System.
- Call control problems exist when using the TAPI Service Provider through the Remote SP. Attempting to answer a call may return LINEERR_NOTOWNER ( 0x80000046 ).
Note: This problem is resolved by installing Windows NT Service Pack 4.0 on the NT Server system which is performing as the Telephony Server. - For huntgroup related calls, the CallInfo structure will contain: - huntgroup DN in the Name field.
- huntgroup DN in the Redirection field for a call to a huntgroup. ===================================================================== | Additional Information |
