NControl Security Integrations, LLC (NControl) is pleased to offer a new concept in RFID Tracking solutions, the NEAT Check In/Out System (NEAT CIOS). The system is a cost-effective way to monitor and report item location and activity. The thrust in creating this system is to make RFID Tracking easier to use, easier to implement, and at an affordable price.
NEAT CIOS uses RFID readers that are located at access points for your item storage area. The system is designed to monitor the area where the reader is located for items tags. When a tag is 'seen' by the reader, the system will display the item information on the CIOS Workstation and allow users to check in or out items. The system will update the item location and display the new location on all reports.
NEAT CIOS is targeted at either the integrator or end user looking to implement an item tracking solution with up to ten (10) access points.
NEAT CIOS use Active or Passive RFID readers using IP communication and Cat5e cabling to connect to the application computer. Power for the RFID readers can be local or PoE injectors can be used.

NEAT CIOS is a complete Active or Passive RFID items tracking solution that includes the Tracking software and the NEAT CIOS system computer, configured for use. The RFID readers are designed to plug directly into the Network that the computer that will be running the system resides on. The software will allow the user to define the IP address of the RFID reader.

CIOS Workstation Application
The NEAT CIOS System is comprised for two separate software applications. The first is the CIOS Workstation Application. This application monitors the attached hardware for item tags. When an item is ‘seen’ by the system, users can either check in or out the items (based on current location).
Item Check Out
When an item is ‘seen’ by an RFID reader, the system will determine if item is returned or leaving the storage area. If leaving, this screen will be displayed so users can verify the item, and log the item out. Users select the item user and click the assign button. The item will be checked out to that user.

Item Check In
When an item is ‘seen’ by an RFID reader, the system will determine if item is returned or leaving the storage area. If returning, this screen will be displayed so users can verify the item, and check the item in.
Workstation Alarm
The system includes an workstation alarm function that will display an alarm on the workstation if an item is not checked in or out in the system within 20 seconds of being ‘seen’ by the RFID reader. This ensures that all items are properly checked in or out.
As part of this alarm function, an email of the event will be forwarded to designated personnel, and a log of the alarm will be recorded in the system database. This log can be viewed in the CIOS Tracking and Reporting application.

The second application is the reporting utility. This application will report the current location of all items monitored by the NEAT CIOS system and allows the user to view current activity and historic information on item location and movement.
The User-interface or this application is a password-protected, multi-user (optional) application. The system is designed so only certain user-levels can access programming and change or add item information. The UI can be accessed by any computer that is on the NEAT CIOS network.
Most NEAT CIOS reports include the option to click on the item tag number to display all item information entered for the asset. Any report where the item tag number or the name underlined can access this information.

In Facility Report
The In Facility Report shows all items currently in the storage area. The report includes the portal where the item was last returned through, when the item was returned and how long the item has been in the storage area.
Out of Facility Report
The Out of Facility Report displays all items that are currently checked out of the storage area. The report includes item name, who checked out the item, which portal the item was checked out through, the date/time the item was removed and the total time the item has been out. This allows users a fast and easy way to find items and who removed them. Also ideal for installations were items can only be checked out of a certain period of time.

All Items Report
The All Items Report displays all assets in the system and display the last location of the item. If the item is checked out, the report will include the person that has removed the item and indicates Checked out items in red.
All Personnel Report
NEAT CIOS has the option of selecting current users or adding a new user to checkout item in the system. The All Personnel Report shows all personnel that have checked out items in the system. If a person has checked out an item, but has not been defined in the system, this report will indicate this by putting Not Defined in the fields of the report.

Item and Personnel Searches
The system offers two search options that can be used to located item and personnel. The Search of Items Report allows users to enter a portion of an item name of tag number and all items that meet the criteria will be displayed. Below is a sample of this report.
The other search option allows user to select whether they want to search for an item or person, and then define what information they would like to search against. The report will display all items or personnel that match the search criteria.
Historic Reports
The next groups of reports show past historic information stored in the NEAT CIOS system. These reports are grouped into two types, Current – which is activity that has occurred within the last 30 days and Archive – activity older than 30 days. All reports contain a Duration Option that will show the elapse time that an item was out of the storage area.
Item Activity
The Item Activity Report display who has checked out item, where it was checked out, the date/time the item was removed and for how long. Users select the item and the report is displayed.

Items Out by Person
The Items Out by Person report shows all items have been checkout by the selected person. Information includes what item was checked out, where it was checked out from, the date/time checked out and the date/time the item was returned. If the Duration Option is used, the elapse checked out time will also be displayed.

Location Activity
The Location Activity Report displays all items that have been checked out through the select portal. Information includes the item, who removed it, when it was removed and when it was returned. Duration Option will show the elapse checked out time.
Detail Reports
The next groups of reports are specific action reports that are stored in the NEAT CIOS database. These reports include item details, past alarm activity and item inspection reports.

The Item Detail Report shows all items and user entered information. This report can be sorted by Item Tag or by Name. Item information can be updated by clicking the tag number that corresponds with the item. The last three columns show the item inspection date and if inspection is required within 30 days, the number of days left before inspection date. Clicking UPDATE allows the user to update inspection information.
Inspection Report
The Inspection Report allows user to view all inspection information per item. Users select the item and the timeframe and click the Show Activity button. The report includes inspectors name, notes, the inspection date and the next inspection date. The inspection Report also indicates if updates were performed on item information in the system.
Alarm Report
The Alarm Report displays all alarms that were generated by the NEAT CIOS system. Users can view these alarms be selecting between items that alarmed at check in or check out, entering the timeframe and clicking the Show Activity button. The displayed report will include Item name, alarm location, who canceled the alarm, when the alarm occurred and when it was canceled.
