Login Procedure

Use your mobile device to access POEMS Mobile at

https://mobile.poems.com.hk

.

Log-in window will pop up. Input your username and password and click “Login”. (Refer

to Pic 1.1)

Declaration Window will appear after pressing “Login” (Refer to Pic 1.2). Click Accept

after thoroughly understand and agree with the declaration.

Local Stock Trading Functions

2.1 User can input the following instructions in executing the trade order (Refer to Pic 2.1):

Stock code, e.g. 5

Price, e.g. 50

Quantity, eg. 400

Then press Buy or Sell

(Buy order represents in Pink

Sell order represents in Yellow)

2.1.1 After choosing “BUY” or “SELL”, the “Double Confirm Input Order” appears. (Refer

to Pic 2.1.1)

2.2 Order status

Once the order is transmitted, the “Order Status” will show the transaction details, including the

side, input quantity, price and submit time. By clicking the inputted instruction, you can check the

status of order including outstanding, pending and cancellation etc. (Refer to Pic 2.2a,b)

2.3 Withdraw / Modify Order :

Withdraw order: Click “Withdraw All” or “New Qty” select 0 and then click “Modify”

Amend order: Select the shares you want to place in “New Qty” and then press “Modify”

2.4 Stock portfolio and Positions

2.4.1 User can set their own stock portfolio (Refer to Pic 2.4.2) and check the account balance

details in “Positions” (Refer to Pic 2.4.3)

2.4.2 “Stock Portfolio”

User can set up 3 portfolios which each contains up to 10 stocks. First, click “Setting”, then

type in the stock code and press “Add”. On the contrary, if user want to delete the stock

setting, select the stock code and press “Remove”.

3. Account Information

3.1 Account Balance

3.1.1 In Account Balance Detail, user can check his/her Balance Brought Forward, allowance,

today’s cash flow, fund transfer, market value, margin value, margin cap and available

balance.

Snap Shot quotation: type the securities code and press “ RealTime Quote”. The quotation

will be updated when there is stock moving activity. (Refer to Pic 3.2)

3.3 Local Indexes

The provision of Hang Seng Index and Hang Seng China Enterprises Index enable client to

capture critical investment movement. (Refer to Pic 3.3)

3.4 Top Up/ Down

Client can view the day’s top 10 turnover stocks, the nominal, change and volume.

3.5 Check Credits

Once the POEMS is activated, 800 points will be rewarded and for every $200 local stock

trading, 1 point will be credited. User will be benefit from this rewarding mechanism only

when trading on POEMS or POEMS Mobile. For every press on stock quotation or local

indexes update, 1 point will be deducted.

Stock Options Trading Functions

4.1 Stock Options trading Procedure

Client can look for available contract under “Trading Option”. (Refer to Pic 4.1a, 4.1b)

1. Select the stock code

2. Select the expiry month

3. Select the contract (call on the left and put on the right)

4. Press “search” and and then the strike price, name of the contract and price will display

automatically.

5.User can first press the contract and then press “Quote Request” to ask for price quote if

there is no price shown.

6.Select the number of lots

- Open/Close (close position can be done only for the same contract )

- Long/Short

If there is no indication showing the trade order status, client is not recommended to input a

duplicate instruction , instead please contact Stock Options Department at 22776622 for

further confirmation.

4.2 Withdraw/ modify order

All pending and outstanding transaction will be shown under “processing order” (Refer to Pic

4.2a) and the completed or cancelled transaction will be shown under “completed order”.

(Refer to Pic 4.2b)

If any amendment needs to be made, user can click “Modify” under the section of Pending or

Processing order.

4.3 Stock Options Portfolio and Positions

4.3.1 Client can set their own stock options portfolio (Refer to Pic 4.3a) and check his/her

holding in “Positions” (Refer to Pic 4.3b)

4.3.2 Stock Options Portfolio

User can set 3 portfolios which each portfolio contains 10 stock options. First, click “Edit”,

then type in the contract number and press “Add”. On the contrary, if user want to delete the

stock options setting, select the contract and press “Remove”.

6. Account Balance Detail

6.1 Account balance

6.1.1

Client can check his/her stock value, allowance, initial margin, maintain margin, cash

transfer, cash Dr/Cr, balance and available balance. (Refer to Pic 6.1)

6.2 Contract Margin:

Cash Transfer: money credit/debit to/from bank account or Phillip account.

Cash DR/CR: Net cash flow from buy/sell the premium

Balance:Stock Options Account cash balance

Available balance: Cash transfer + Cash DR/CR + Balance

Stock Value: 80% of stock value in stock option account

Allowance: the amount that can overdraft

Initial margin: the margin that requires when establishing the position.

Maintain margin:

The minimum amount of cash that must be maintained in a margin account,

the available balance must exceeds the maintain margin requirement. For more information

1. What is Phillip Mobile?

Phillip Mobile Trading is our new platform which allows customers to access our online investment services by supported mobile handsets

2. Who can use Phillip Mobile? You can use Phillip Mobile if you have:

(1) Registered for Stock Account or Stock Option Account; and (2) Registered for POEMS Electronic Services.

3. How to apply Phillip Mobile Service?

If you have already registered for POEMS Electronic Services, you just need to use its account ID and password to access our Phillip Mobile Trading platform.

To register POEMS Electronic Services, you simply need to fill in Account Type Amendment Form and then fax or e-mail it to us.

4. How can I access to Phillip Mobile via my mobile handset?

You can logon to Phillip Mobile by entering the URL https://mobile.poems.com.hk/ on your mobile handset. 5. What functions are available in Phillip Mobile Trading?

Local Stock Trading

-Place, modify, or cancel limit orders for all local securities listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong -Check latest account details

-Check your order status -Check your buying power -View your portfolio

-View your latest stock holdings

-Obtain real-time quotes of local listed stocks and warrants

-Obtain real-time Hang Seng Index and Hang Seng China Enterprise Index Stock Option Trading

-Place new orders or square orders -Check your order status

-Check your outstanding positions -Check latest account details

6. Is this service free of charge?

Yes. There are no additional charges for using Mobile Trading - only the transaction charges listed in Securities Service Charges. However, please check with your telecommunication service provider about data transmission and/or other charges that may apply to using the Internet via your mobile handset, particularly when you are travelling outside Hong Kong and using a roaming service.

7. Do I need to use particular service plan of any particular telecommunication service provider? No, Phillip Mobile Trading can be accessed via the network of any telecommunication service providers, both local and overseas.

8. If I have registered for POEMS Electronic Services, do I need to apply Phillip Mobile again?

No, if you have registered for POEMS Electronic Services and Phillip Mobile Trading. You simply need to use your account ID and password of your POEMS Electronic Services to log in Phillip Mobile Trading. 9. Do I have to use a handset with 3G service?

No, you can use 2G, 3G, HSDPA or Wi-Fi to connect to internet. However, your mobile handset need to be able to support Internet access.

10. What is the average response time of Phillip Mobile Trading?

Since Phillip Mobile Trading uses a simplified and word based interface design, under normal circumstances with stable signal strength, average response times should be similar to those experienced when accessing POEMS Electronic Services via fixed networks. Please do not press Update button before received the trade confirmation in accordance the repeat order may happen.

11. Do I need to use a specific mobile handset model?

No, the service will operate on a range of different mobile handsets. However, as we have to tailor the service according to the requirements of different mobile handset models, we recommend that you to use a handset that has been well-tested by our company.

12. What if I forget my password?

You may call our customer hotline: 2277-6555. The new password will be sent to your registered address by mail.

13. Is that I can access to Phillip Mobile Trading at anytime?

Yes, you can use Phillip Mobile Trading 24 hours a day, except during the system upgrade and maintenance period.

14. Can I change my password of POEMS Electronic Services through Phillip Mobile Trading ?

No, For changing your password, please visit www.poems.com.hk, press the button of Change Pwd under POEMS LOGIN to change your password.

15. After logging onto POEMS Mobile Trading via my mobile handset, can I return to/switch to another browser on my mobile handset and then return to the service again?

In general, there is only one browser available on a mobile handset. However, when you are logging onto Phillip Mobile Trading and subsequently go to another webpage in the same browser, Phillip Mobile Trading service will not be terminated until you manually logoff.

16. Why was the web address redirected to the web address start with"https://"? This is because the web will be redirected to access a highly secured site. 17. Why can I only read Phillip Mobile Trading in English?

If your handset supports UTF-8 codes, you simply need to set the default encoding of the browser in your mobile handset to Unicode (UTF-8) so that you can access Phillip Mobile in Chinese.

18. Can I access Phillip Mobile Trading when I am overseas?

Phillip Mobile Trading is accessible as long as you have an Internet connection. For details, please check with your telecommunication service provider.

19. If there is an incoming call when I am placing an order, what will happen ?

Your internet connection maybe interrupted. Thus, you must check whether your order has been accepted in the Order Status section for securities trading or you may contact your Account Executive.
