newest version of FedEx Ship Manager® Software, v.3000.
As a current user, you already know how FedEx Ship ManagerSoftware makes shipping,
tracking and billing more efficient — whether you are on the shipping dock, in the
administration office or in the accounting department. But no matter how your business uses FedEx Ship Manager Software, there are improvements in v.3000 that will help you process shipping more easily, quickly, and conveniently.

Before You Begin
Installing FedEx Ship Manager Software v.3000
You must be running FedEx Ship ManagerSoftware v.2704 or higher to upgrade to v.3000. During the installation of FedEx Ship Manager Software, turn off any virus protection or firewall programs on your PC. These programs may interfere with the installation. Close all other open files and programs before installing the software.
Minimum System and Hardware Requirements

Overview
FedEx Ship Manager Software v.3000, with its new time-saving and effort-saving enhancements, provides you with new tools to improve your shipping experience. The speed of v.3000 is high and gives you better and effective control over your shipping process.
Third Party Billing for FedEx SmartPost®
offers a new billing option for the payer, who performs FedEx SmartPost shipments.
Hold at FedEx Location in Canada provides the Hold at FedEx Location lookup functionality to all FedEx Express locations, where this service is available.
Reclassification of Clearance Entry Fee (CEF)
provides the ability to bill the CEF and
associated taxes along with duties and taxes to the shipper, recipient or third party. The
applicable Clearance Entry Fee is displayed on the shipper’s courtesy rate quote only if the shipper is the payer of duties and taxes.
Support for Windows® 10 Operating System
allows migration to the latest Microsoft®
operating system.
User Experience Enhancements for Canada
include an additional rate-quote option for single-piece shipping as well as access to the commodity database by both Shipment Content (Insight) and Commodity/Merchandise.
Ground Call Tag Preference helps avoid the 2-step process of creating and uploading the Ground Call tags and mitigate the risk involved in the manual upload of the Ground Call tags.
Estimated Delivery Notification offers greater transparency into your shipment delivery so you can plan better.
Dimensions Preference Enhancement
enables you to set Dimensions as a required field within the Domestic and International shipping profiles.
FedEx Ship Manager Tutorials serve as short, self-paced learning tutorials. It explains the complex functions such as processing shipping commodities, completing Consolidated Commercial Invoice (CCI) and so on.

Enhancements
Display Dimensional Weight displays the dimensional weight for the given package and provides transparency on the weight that will get applied on your shipment or package.
Link to fedex.com Online Supplies helps you log on directly to the fedex.com Online Supplies application from the FedEx Ship Manager desktop application.
Imperial or Metric Units for Weight / Dimensions adds Pounds (LBS), Kilograms (KGS), Cubic Feet (CFT) and Cubic Meters (M3) as metric options for weight or
dimensions on the less than truckload (LTL) Freight and Returns profile user interface screens.
Customized End of Day (EOD) Close Report allows you to customize the End of Day (EOD) report printing operation to specific reports and avoid unnecessary printing of all
Additional Document Types for ETD Uploads allows you to choose Microsoft®
Office 2010 Word (Docx) and Excel (Xlsx) documents as additional supported document types for Electronic Trade Documents (ETD) uploads.
FedEx Ground Human Readable Barcode
on labels is now encrypted.
Multi-Weight Report Enhancement helps generate a more detailed and customized report that contains a breakdown of different surcharges, such as Multi-Weight Fuel
Surcharge, Multi- Weight Goods and Services Sales Tax (GST Charge), Multi-Weight
Harmonized Sales Tax (HST surcharge), and Multi-Weight Canadian Tax (PST Charge).
Commercial Invoice Font Size Update
increases the font size in the commercial invoice so that the content is more legible.

Signature Options Expansion closes the signature delivery options gap in the FedEx Express and FedEx Ground international parcel portfolio by providing international and domestic shippers with the following
signature options
No Signature Required (NSR): FedEx will not require a signature upon delivery. Indirect Signature Required (ISR): FedEx will obtain a signature in one of three ways: 1. From someone at the delivery address. 2. From a neighbor, building manager or other person at the neighboring address. 3. The recipient can sign a FedEx door tag authorizing release of the package without anyone present.
Direct Signature Required (DSR): FedEx will obtain a signature from someone at the delivery address or reattempt delivery the following business day if no one is at the address.
Adult Signature Required (ASR): FedEx will obtain a signature from any person of the age of majority, country specific, at the delivery address.
Note: The Signature Option is located at the bottom left under the Ship tab’s Options tab, or from the Shipment information drop down’s Signature Options under Multiple Piece Shipments.
Tax ID in Commercial Invoice allows
printing of additional information such as Tax ID on the Commercial Invoice for LTL Freight shipments.
Batch Shipping and Hold File
Enhancement enables you to analyze failed shipments from the previous batch by
including Error ID description as a new option in the Export Template dialog. You can export a list of failed shipments into an Excel file, simplifying the way the team members can communicate while analyzing and resolving errors.

Enhancement makes FedEx International Priority DirectDistribution, FedEx
International Economy DirectDistribution and FedEx International Priority DirectDistribution Freight shipments compliant with Canada Border Services Agency regulations by making the commodity data available electronically and collecting additional
required data. This helps you avoid penalties and facilitates continued shipping for these shipments into Canada.

Integration Assistant Enhancements
Integration Automatic Shipping provides a profile option for you to setup automatic shipping for your integration. When using this option you can select how often you want FedEx Ship Manager to check your data source for new shipment data. If available, it will automatically populate new shipment records into FedEx Ship Manager, rather than the user having to manually run the profile with each update.
Option to Use Stored Procedure
When creating or editing a profile, you can now use a stored procedure to query your data and provide FedEx Integration Assistant the tables and data mappings rather than you having to manually update the data source and re-map to the FedEx Ship Manager fields within FedEx Integration Assistant when changes occur within your data source tables and fields.
Auto-generate Export simplifies the export setup process by adding the option to auto- generate a CSV/text file upon export from FedEx Ship Manager, rather than requiring data mapping or conversions. When using this option, FedEx Integration Assistant will create a comma delimited text file and send to the file selected within your database.
Autoload Conversions feature enables you to automatically load the FedEx Ship Manager conversion values during import and export. This eliminates the need to manually set each
conversion value when creating and editing your import and export profiles in FedEx Integration Assistant.

Text File Path Changeprovides the ability to change the path of a text file in a saved profile without deleting the existing profile data mappings and profile selections or requiring a new profile to be created.
