Inviato: giovedì 16 luglio 2009 18.01 A: 'Messaoudi Najat
Oggetto: R: IT infrastructure Dear Mrs Messaoudi,
regarding your question, the first important thing is that of course you can not exceed the budget for the purchasing of IT equipments fixed in the Tempus Contract for Hassan II University (you can check this with the coordinator of Unchain).
As regards our indication, we can say that the lab should have a minimum of5 to a maximum of 20 PCs, to be used for Unchain e-collaboration activities; probably the best would be to have at least 8/10 PCs.
As regards the specification please refer to:
1) the document "HW-SW configuration" here attached that you find also in the wiki: http://www.unchain-vu.net/04_-_Documents/02_-_Library_-_pg_2
2) to the report of the visit to Hassan II University also attached and available in the wiki:
http://www.unchain-vu.net/05_-_Work_packages/05_-_WP5/04_-_WP_5.1_Visit_to_MEDA_Universities/05_-_Reports_Visit_to_MEDA_Univ.
You can refer then to these 2 documents and compare what you already have/you can use for the Unchain lab (you don't need to purchase) and what you don't have (you need to purchase).
The result is to have an Unchain lab with the characteristics indicated in the documents within the end of the year.
We will be available to give technical on line assistance in the process of creating the Unchain lab according to these indications.
Please don't hesitate to contact us for any further assistance Best Regards,
Admin METID

I am preparing the specifications for the acquisition of hardware and software to unchain and I want to know if there are limitations to the amount of material to take or does it to depend on the lab unchain of each university.

Oggetto: UNCHAIN: EU MEDA VIRTUAL ENVIRONMENT Dear partners,
we have completed the process of creation of the first nucleus of the Unchain EU MEDA Virtual Environment!
As already mentioned, this is just a first part of it that will be updated during the whole project by other new tools for synchronous and asynchronous collaboration. Please note also that the virtual environment is a Wiki and it is created for our partnership, therefore it is made also thanks to your own contribution; you can edit pages (except the ones where you read at the top right "Webadmin only"), you can upload files, add your comments and everything else you would like to share among the Unchain community.
You can go directly to the Virtual Environment to this link: http://www.unchain-vu.net/
To view all the pages of the Wiki you have to do the log in because only partners can do the login and see the internal documentation of the project (this is the reason why we asked you to provide us with names and email of people you want to access the wiki)
You will receive via mail in the following hours the data to do the log in. For any problem you should have about log in procedure please contact the help: [email protected]
You can also go to the Virtual Environment from the Unchain Website
http://www.unchain.at/
clicking in the menu "EU Meda Virtual Environment"
To start we would like to ask you to please add your profiles in the Unchain Group page in the Wiki
We thank you en advance for your kind cooperation and ... enjoy your wiki! Best Regards,

Oggetto: Unchain: important clarification: NEW LIVE MEETING TOOL available in the wiki for Unchain Partners
Dear All,
we write you to give you an important clarification about the Google Calendar procedure to book the Unchain Virtual Meeting Room in Adobe Connect and to access to Adobe Connect itself (see previous mail, below)
To access to the Google Calendar, that you have to use to book the Live Meeting Sessions, there are 2 different cases:
1) users that already have a Google Docs account: you can open the Google booking Calendar using your Google Doc account data already existing;
You will receive only one mail from Metid It Staff (Lino Scalabrini) that invite you to add the Google booking Calendar to your Google Doc account: follow the
instructions included in the mail
2) users that don't have yet a Google Docs account: you have to use the following data to open the Google Calendar:
username: email address used in the wiki account password: unchain09
- You will receive a first mail, follow the instructions to activate your Google Doc account
- You will receive a second mail from Metid IT staff (Lino Scalabrini) that invite you to add the Google booking Calendar to your Google Doc account: follow the instructions included in the mail.
IMPORTANT: to access the Adobe Connect Live Meeting System you have to use the following log in data:
username: password used for the wiki account password: unchain09
For all these procedures, you find all the instructions in the wiki: Pg 12 Live Meeting and subpage
For any technical problems or further information you should need, please contact the help: [email protected]
Thanks a lot for your kind attention, Best Regards,

Oggetto: follow up e-collaboration training Dear Unchain Chairholders,
feedback on a specific aspect of the e-collaboration training that your staff have already experimented (wp5.3)
In particular we would like to know if the training has been useful to your universities to support the creation of a network with the enterprises, this in fact was one of the goal of the training.
Please complete the on line survey that you find at the following link, this would take only 3 minutes of your time and we need this information for reporting reasons.
Here you have the link to the survey:

We also invite all of you that still don't have completed the on line survey of evaluation of the e-collaboration training to complete it as soon as possible because the result of this survey will be used also for reporting reasons
