EIT Digital is a key player on the Rennes regional scene. It is integrated within major national and regional initiatives to promote French entrepreneurship and complements major national strategic educational investments in the area of computer science in Brittany.
The EIT Digital partners in Rennes to date are: University of Rennes 1, IRISA, INRIA, Telecom Bretagne (Institut Mines Telecom), the competitiveness cluster Images & Réseaux, Orange, Thales, Alcatel-Lucent, La fondation Rennes 1 and Rennes Métropole. Ideally located in the Rennes-Atalante science park, EIT Digital Rennes is hosted by ISTIC, the education and research department in computer science and technical engineering from Rennes 1

University. The colocation centre provides an office, an open-space and a meeting room in a revamped area.
The science park is closely linked to the European ICT community and is located near major industrial corporations, 300 SMEs and the two main ICT labs in the West of France: IRISA and Inria. Hence it is a highly appreciated and valued location for networking, opened to all players from the ICT innovation ecosystem in Rennes.
Rennes,
the capital of Brittany (West of France), is a leading education and high-tech R&D center of global renown. Recent history of Rennes includes many crucial advances in terms of invention and development of world standards in ICT: ATM, MP3, JPEG, OFDM, Turbo Codes, MPEG4, etc.With over 60,000 students out of a population of 225 000, the city is also arguably one of France’s liveliest and student-friendly location.

Rennes is connected directly by TGV (High Speed Train) to Paris, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Nantes: www.voyages-sncf.com
The TGV takes you from Paris Montparnasse train station to Rennes in 2 hours. There’s a TGV every 30 minutes at peak-time, for a total of 20 Paris-Rennes and 21 Rennes-Paris TGV each day.
