Dear Rail Executive,
“Take advantage of opportunities arising from the
huge investments in rail infrastructure in the Asia
Pacific region and be part of Asia’s commitment to
rail systems development.”
According to the latest edition of SCI Verkehr’s “The World Market for Railway Technology” published in September 2010, the world rail market will reach 160 billion euros by 2015. The current growth spurt is being driven by massive investment in China and for the first time ever, China leads the top 10 rankings in terms of investment in railway technology. A clear shift in the overall market balance in favour of Asian players is predicted for the next five years.
The rail industry is booming with almost every Asia Pacific city boasting of expanding current rail network, new lines, airport rail links and building additional stations on the rail network. Whilst China and India still remain huge markets for potential rail systems development and investment, emerging countries including Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia are fast gaining in importance. As China moves from an importer to an exporter and India putting more emphasis on rail development, we see a significant change in the region’s rail market offering new opportunities for manufacturers, suppliers, consultants and investors.
Threats of security and safety are of prime importance as rail operators develop their networks and improve their technology.
The Rail Systems Asia 2011 International Congress will be your one stop forum to get the latest updates on rail projects, policies and government incentives from countries in the Asia Pacific region.
Why you need to attend Rail
Systems Asia 2011:

Understanding the benefi ts of using Positive Train
Control (PTC)
Led By:
Ron Lindsey,
Project Leader, Safety Evaluation Study, Egyptian National Railways
PTC is a safety enhancement system with the primary purpose of preventing the most common source of train accidents – train crew errors. Whilst PTC is mandated for freight and passenger trains across USA, it is often misunderstood by railways, suppliers and railroad regulators across the globe as to its role and interaction with traffi c control systems, wireless communication networks, and on board vs back offi ce systems.
This intensive value-added half day workshop will clarify what PTC is and isn’t by addressing the following key issues:
The difference between train controls, traffi c management and PTC The levels of PTC
PTC in signaled and non-signaled operations The primary components of PTC
The safety benefi ts of PTC The business benefi ts of PTC
Who Should Attend and Why
This workshop will benefi t railway management, suppliers, investors and government regulators which a keen desire to improve the performance of their railway systems. Upon completion of the workshop, participants will be able to evaluate the opportunity for PTC for their railways as well as be aware of the appropriate resources to pursue its implementation.
About Your Workshop Leader
Ron Lindsey has 36 years in the rail industry as both railroad management and as a consultant. His railroad positions include Chief Engineer Communications as well as Director of Advanced Train Control for Class I railroads in the U.S. In the latter position he was the architect for the fi rst PTC system that provided the basis for the PTC systems now being developed across the U.S. to meet a Federal mandate for implementation before 2016. With 19 years as an independent consultant Ron focuses on the strategic deployment of technologies in the rail and intermodal industries. Ron is currently the Project Leader for a Safety Evaluation Study for the Egyptian National Railways that will include the consideration of PTC.

Why You Should Sponsor Rail
Systems Asia 2011
Why do you need to sponsor?
Conferences work. Unlike the visitors at trade shows and
exhibitions, conference delegates are qualifi ed decision makers
with proven budget control.
You will be meeting and doing business with select groups who
have chosen to invest their money, and, more importantly, their
time to address the specifi c challenges in the agenda. They
want to buy.
You are guaranteeing that you will be making contacts with
decision makers and infl uencers responsible for purchasing
decisions. Our delegates are people who have come looking
for solutions, and sponsoring puts you on a platform to
demonstrate your expertise and win their business.
In aligning yourself with the experts speaking on the conference
agenda you will be able to demonstrate how your solutions
overcome the obstacles faced by your clients. You’ll be able to
explain how you deliver cost-effective, high-effi ciency products
and services that will make a real impact on their budgetary
and scheduling constraints, while enabling them to ensure their
rail systems perform at maximum capacity whilst maintaining
quality of service and safety standards.
You cannot afford to miss this opportunity to reach your target
audience at
Rail Systems Asia 2011
.
By sponsoring
Rail Systems Asia 2011
you will be positioning
your brand as a key solution to the rail industry’s key challenges
