MOTOR GEARBOXES
GW SERIES
De Gier Drive Systems produce a complete range of robust and durable gear motors. The GW and GXP gear motors create a solid base for complete drive systems. The various versions of gear motors are used in ventilation, screening, heating tube lifting systems, and drink and feed lines in agriculture, greenhouse horticulture and non-residential construction.
Product characteristics of the GW and GXP gear motors:
• Self-braking due to the application of a worm-worm gear transmission. This means that, when the gear motor is stopped, the system stays in the desired position.
• Extremely silent during use, compact, powerful, reliable and maintenance-free. • Continuous operation S3-30% (continuous operation is limited to max. 25 minutes) • Torque range from 10 to 2,700Nm
• RPM range from 1.3 to 30 rotations/min
The GW and GXP gear motors have the following as standard: • II-I B Certificate for your CE label
• Integrated limit switch system with 2 main and 2 emergency stop switches ○ the GXP has a range of 0.2 to 37 revolutions of the output shaft ○ the GW has a range of 0.2 to 88 revolutions of the output shaft
○ the GW high speed gear motors with 15 and 30 revolutions/minute have a range of 1.0 to 1,400 revolutions of the output shaft
• The GW can be mounted on the floor and on the wall, the GXP only on the wall. • Electromotors IEC38, protection class IP55 in accordance with EN 600529. • Ready for mounting I-DE block for position feedback
• 2-K painted in De Gier Drive Systems Blue (RAL5009).
• Inbus connection in the electromotor shaft for the option of manual or cordless drill driver operation
• Including mounting instructions, motor installation materials, air-vent plug • Separate solid cardboard packaging with a GW or GXP identification label
The GW and GXP gear motors can optionally be fitted in the factory with electromotors which have: • a different voltage, frequency or protection class
• UL and CSA approval
The GW gear motor can optionally be fitted in the factory with position feedback to the climate control system which has:
• an Intelligent Digital Encoder (I-DE)
• potentiometer with the desired *feedback range and Ohm-value (* number of rotations of the output shaft from 0 to 100%)

GW10 CHAIN COUPLING
The GW10, with chain couplings on the driven shaft, has a number of applications, such as driving ventilation or screening systems.
As a standard the GW10 is fitted with a chain coupling set with a duplex chain according to DIN chain number 08B-2 or 10B-2. The sprocket wheel joint is available for a 1” (08B-2), 5/4” or 2” (both 10B-2) drive tubes. The motor gearbox can be mounted at the side or at the base.
The GW10 can optionally be fitted with a tube-bolt chain coupling set for 1” or 5/4” drive tubes. Electric motors with different voltages and/or frequencies or a higher protection class, for instance tropic winding, are available on request.

GW30 CHAIN COUPLING
The GW30, with chain couplings on the driven shaft, has a number of applications, such as driving ventilation or screening systems.

The GW40HC, with chain couplings on the driven shaft, has a number of applications in the chrysanthemums, freesias and lilies, such as hoisting gauze heating systems.
