PJ22 – “Validation and Demonstration Engineering” is participated by European ANSP, Industries and Research Entities, it has as primary objective to provide a transversal support to the System Engineering of the Validation and Demonstration activities performed under the scope of the SESAR 2020 Programme.
PJ22 Validation and Demonstration Engineering
•SE data management will be based on a data centric approach. The goal is to allow capturing SE data in a structured way ensuring consistency, coherence and coverage at programme level while facilitating and controlling change management across the SESAR Solution life cycle.
Requirement Management
•PJ22 will maintain the V&VPs, V&VIs and Demonstration Platform Development methodologies , to be made available for SESAR solution, enabling and demo projects.
•It will promote coherent engineering approach and harmonized outputs for the development of the V&V platform.
•It will identify a minimum set of technical evidences/ related to the V&V platform development that can be captured in the relevant platform availability note(s).
•The use of the methodology is NOT mandatory and remain under scope of solution projects.
Platform Methodology
•PJ22 will be in charge of maintaining the catalogue of the existing V&V and Demonstration Platforms and associated
documentation from SESAR 1, describing their current capabilities and their planned evolution, and populate it whenever a new platform is proposed by a SESAR Solution or VLSD project.

•PJ22 will support the communalization of validation tools and interoperability solutions when appropriate, by enabling the identification and selection of a set of strategic validation tools and interoperability solutions and producing technical specifications, interoperability requirements and conformance criteria that are applicable for the different simulators, tools and V&VI.

•to share the objectives and core activities of PJ22
•to identify the best way to support Projects, starting with first SESAR Solutions
•to share proposal on the way for interacting and coordinating
•Ad hoc/ periodic coordination (annual) via webex or F2F Project Coordination
•F2F workshop with candidate Solution, Enabling and/or Demo Projects to be identified in coordination with SJU
•to present SE-DMF and collect feedback for possible customization and refinement
