Duration
2 x 45 minute sessions per day over 4 days, with a 15 minute break. The final day is longer for rehearsals and presentation.

Children’s Summer Classes
A week-long course involving two daily classesin ballet and creative dance. Themed classes let you use your imagination to create an original dance with your teachers. A fun week ends with a lively presentation with props and make-up, for parents and guardians.

Summer Schools
Our Summer Schools let you develop your skills while trying out new styles of dance. Taking place in London and Dartington, each week closes with an open day to celebrate your achievements. Pho to : B ria n S la te r

Students take one-hour daily classes in:
• ballet
• group dance/repertoire
• creative dance
• hip hop, musical theatre or street
jazz, and
• non-dance workshop, e.g. drama,
singing or Benesh movement notation.

£368 for one week £663 for two weeks
fee includes a ticket to a West end show, disco, light buffet lunches, snack and drinks (monday to friday).

Students take daily classes, totalling a minimum of four hours per day*, in:
• ballet
• group dance/repertoire
• contemporary technique (senior levels)
• creative dance

• singing (junior levels).

Who can attend
Students aged 11 years and above, studying rAd Intermediate foundation – Advanced 2, with a thorough knowledge of the complete syllabus, including their chosen variations We are only able to accept male students who are studying for rAd Intermediate foundation, Intermediate, Advanced foundation and Advanced 1 exams.

Summer Intensive Examination
Syllabus Course
Run over consecutive days, each covers syllabus classes, followed by pointe work and coaching of the variations for females, and virtuosity and coaching of the variations for males.
Mat-based Pilates Course
Improve your core strength and posture through stretching, muscle toning and conditioning. Pilates is popular with dancers for stabilising and strengthening core stability, and correcting body alignment. Each session includes precision breathing, release stretching, Pilates movements and relaxation.
Also taking the Summer Intensive Examination Syllabus Course? Schedule a Pilates session before each class to receive the greatest benefit.

Summer Stages
Step into the spotlight and join us for an inspiring and exhilarating week of dance. This specially designed intensive course shows you how it feels to be part of a creative process while developing your skills as a dancer and performer as you train for a week at RAD headquarters in London with students from around the world. Work with choreographers in ballet, repertoire, contemporary and jazz to create original dances that you’ll perform in the RAD’s performance space on the final day.

Adult Summer Course
An intensive course over five evenings covering:• ballet – improving body alignment, co-ordination and general well-being. This class
has live piano accompaniment.
• jazz – an energetic blend of modern dance styles. You’ll learn a routine and improve
your recall, musicality and performance.
• mat-based Pilates improves strength, posture, flexibility and balance. The perfect
complement to dance training, this is a fun way to increase your fitness levels and to learn new skills. Designed to relax and invigorate, it is suitable for all levels.
We offer three levels for you to choose from according to your ballet experience. Two and three-class packages are available.

these are given at each rAd summer school and at Summer Stages to a student (at any level) who has shown significant improvement. The award is for one week’s tuition at a summer school or Summer Stages in 2017 or 2018.
DISCOUnTS Sibling discounts
• two sibling students:10% off total cost of tuition fees
• three or more sibling students: 20% off total cost of tuition fees.
Group discounts
A 10% discount will be applied to the total cost of tuition fees for groups of 10 or more students within the same price band.
Multiple booking discount
A 10% discount will be applied to the total cost of tuition fees for any single participant booking two or more summer events at the same time.
to qualify for these discounts, applications must be received together before the closing date. only one discount can be applied per applicant. Please ensure you calculate the discount on the application form.

• coach transfers to and from rAd headquarters.
A private coach will transport residential students to and from the rAd each day, with chaperones and a housemother in attendance during the their stay.
London Summer School
Accommodation is at digby Stuart Campus, roehampton university, London. residential students should enrol at digby Stuart Campus as per the dates below. Confirmed times will be listed in the information pack.

Summer Stages
Accommodation is at marylebone Hall, university of Westminster, London.
Residential students should enrol at Marylebone Hall on Sunday 7 August. Confirmed times will be listed in the information pack.
Please note, accommodation cannot be booked for Saturday 8 August, for students attending either the London Summer School Week 3 or Summer Stages.
DARTInGTOn
Accommodation is onsite at dartington Hall, totnes, devon tQ9 6ed.
Residential students should enrol at Dartington on Sunday 24 July. Confirmed times will be listed in the information pack.
Accommodation fee includes:
• single accommodation
• breakfast and evening meals each day
• access to the beautiful grounds at dartington, and
• chaperones and a housemother in attendance during their entire stay.
