Our dedicated professional team have over a hundred years of combined
regional market experience, acting for a wide range of public and private
sector clients including investors, developers, major funds, Local Authorities
and occupiers.
Since the mid 1980’s, as individuals, we have been involved in the development
and disposal of millions of square feet of commercial property across the East
Midlands. In terms of the wider range of professional services we offer, our
team has handled over 1,500 rating appeals, over 1,250 valuations and over
700 rent reviews/lease renewals within in the region.
Our performance has been reflected in Prop-Search being recognised by
Estates Gazette (EGi) as the Most Active Agent in Northamptonshire, having
sold or let more commercial property than any other agent in this region. In
addition, members of the Prop-Search team have received the EGi ‘Dealmaker
of the Year’ award for four consecutive years.

The name is obvious, the logo distinctive, the website

Traditionally, property agents focus on their client base,
giving applicants less attention. We differ in that we focus
heavily on applicants and their specific requirements. After
all, if a property is empty then the most important issue is
to secure a suitable occupier for it.
The internet is fast becoming the favoured medium for
searching for commercial property and Prop-Search is
focused on making life easier for applicants.
We have staff dedicated to qualifying visitors to our
website on a daily basis. We endeavour to contact every
person who registers on our website within 48 hours to see
if they are interested in an appointment to view – if they
are not, then we try and establish what they didn’t like and
what they are looking for, so that we can offer alternatives.

Simon started his commercial agency career with Wilson & Partners in 1987. He stayed with the company through its evolution into Connell Wilson, working in London Docklands between 1991 and 1993 and then later heading up the North Northamptonshire region for Lambert Smith Hampton. He joined Underwoods as a Partner in 1998 subsequently co-founding Prop-Search in 2008.
Simon was invited to be an Ambassador for Northamptonshire in 2011 and has chaired Wellingborough Town Centre Partnership for a number of years.
He specialises in advising on commercial property development, investment and agency.
Chris joined Northampton based commercial property consultants Underwoods in 2000, as an agency surveyor, having worked in business to business sales for 20 years and building up an enviable working knowledge of the Northamptonshire business community. In recognition of being a key member of the business space team, he was promoted to an Associate Partner in 2006.
In 2008, Chris co-founded Prop-Search with Simon Toseland.

Director [email protected] 07500 886176Ian joined the surveying practice of Lambert Smith Hampton (then Connell Wilson) in 1989 working his way up the corporate ladder to become a Director and Head of its Industrial and Logistics department in Northampton. In 2012 Ian joined Prop-Search as a Director where he jointly heads up the Northampton office.
Ian has over 20 years development consultancy and agency experience and with expert market knowledge, he is able to provide clear pragmatic market driven advice. He deals with a wide range of agency and professional work on behalf of a range of developers, local authorities, institutional fund and occupier clients.
Richard started his career as a graduate surveyor in the City office of GVA Grimley (now GVA) in 1999.
In 2004 Richard moved home to Northamptonshire and joined the Industrial and Logistics team at the Northampton office of Lambert Smith Hampton, progressing to Director and played a key role in the development of the business across the region.
In 2012 Richard joined Prop-Search as a Director where he jointly heads up the Northampton office. Richard has significant experience working for local, national and International occupiers, developers and institutional pension funds specialising in investment, development and agency – both disposals and acquisitions.

Samantha has detailed knowledge of the UK’s commercial property market - amassed over 20+ years - and has played a key role in business space agency (industrial, office, retail and licensed and leisure property). She joined the surveying team practice of Lambert Smith Hampton (then Wilson & Partners and latterly Connell Wilson) in 1988 and prior to joining Prop-Search in 2010 worked for Underwoods. Samantha is also a Director of the Wellingborough Town Centre Partnership. For three consecutive years Sam has been crowned EGi dealmaker of the year for Northamptonshire, having sold or let more commercial properties than any other agent.
David started his property career as an assistant surveyor with British Gas, then joined Whitbread as an Estates Manager responsible for the Thresher portfolio and Costa Coffee. In 2002 he became the Estates and Facilities Director for First Quench Retailing Ltd responsible for the portfolio of 2000 trading properties as well as both commercial and residential sub-let estates. In 2006 David was recruited as an interim Estates Manager by the Borough Council of Wellingborough, responsible for substantially increasing rental income through the active management of a number of industrial estates. He joined Prop-Manage in 2011 as Head of Management.

After nearly 20 years working in administration & management Sue moved to Prop-Search with the opening of the Northampton office to become office manager. Sue is responsible for the day to day running of the Northampton office including website enquiry management, administration and accounting.
