at the Kensington Hotel

Meeting Opening - Sergeant Milton Jones called the meeting to order and Shirley Manser gave the Invocation and Loyal Toast.

President’s Welcome – Past President Brian Kretschmer welcomed Rotarians especially Greg Rogers back from his Asian trip.

Club AGM – President Elect Bill Winslow announced the following nominations for positions in year 2020-21.

As there were no further nominations, Bill Winslow moved and Wayne Holton

seconded the motion that these nominations be accepted. The motion was carried.

Bill thanked all those who have accepted nomination, however he noted that there have been no nominations received for President Elect.

Treasurer John Reynolds tabled the balance sheet and auditors report for the year ending 30th June 2019 and it was resolved that the balance sheet be accepted and the auditors, MGI Assurance (SA) Pty Ltd be re-appointed.

Public Officer – Bruce Ballantyne – A draft copy of the Club Policy had been circulated to members and Bruce explained that these were guidelines for the club

compared with the Club Constitution which is set by RI and the Club Bylaws, both being statutory documents.

He went through some of the changes proposed and said he had received comments about some aspects of the document. There was further discussion at the

meeting and it was decided that a final draft be voted on early in the new year.

As there was no further business, the AGM was closed.

President’s Announcements – Past President Brian Kretschmer said President John George had apologized for not being able to attend the AGM.

He also thanked John Reynolds for providing a bottle of wine for each table.

Dennis Henschke – whilst cleaning some of the items for sale at the shed he observed one that may be pure silver, consequently having a significant value.

Campbelltown club and a former associate of the St Peters club has passed away.

Sergeant – Milton Jones – Lots of fines but no report as the bulletin editor was hijacked to collect the money.

Weekly Meetings - The Rotary Club of St Peters meets on Tuesdays at 6:00 PM at the Kensington Hotel, 23 Regent St., Kensington, S.A. 5068. Visitors are welcome.

SHED SALE - The Rotary-on-Linde SHED SALE is the major Community Service activity of the Rotary Club of St Peters. It is held each Saturday from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm ( 8:00 am to 11:00 am if temperature is 35 degrees or above ) in Linde Reserve at Stepney (Bus stop 6, Payneham

Road).

A wide range of goods are for sale at bargain prices, including good pre-loved clothing, shoes, books, toys, art, DVDs, LPs, small household electrical, small furniture, sporting equipment, tools and bric-a-brac items.

Club volunteers work in the shed on various days, sorting the articles and preparing them for sale. All the proceeds of the sales are used for Rotary projects both locally and

internationally, as determined by the club.

GOODS ARE WANTED - We need donations of saleable goods for our shed sale. We can't take large furniture - small items that can fit in a car are OK. If you have items that you need us to collect - Please phone 08 8411 0277 and leave a message.

VOLUNTEERS ARE ALWAYS NEEDED - If you, or someone you know would like to volunteer to help us prepare goods for sale or work in the shed please let us know.
