WEBSITE/ PORTAL ACCESSING

Open up web browser and navigate to the URL below:-

https://remote.chelwest.nhs.uk

Should you be having any difficulties accessing this page at the first instance, please try switching off the Proxy Server. This can be done from the web browser i.e. Internet Explorer as given in the image below, go to Tools, Internet Options, Connections, LAN Settings and uncheck use proxy server for your LAN. It is also very important you ensure that you are using the right browser. Supported browsers can be found on Page 10 of FAQ.

Upon successful connection you will be presented with the screen below and you will be requested to put in your username, Trust password and PIN(depending on your means of logging in). See method of accessing for full details:

METHODS OF ACCESSING PORTAL

Key Fob:

The key fob picture is shown below. The numbers on the key fob changes every

minute. This device is issued by the IT Department. Details of how to access the Web Portal is given below.

SMS: This requires test messages sent to Internal/External Users mobile number given

during access request. An initial PIN will be issued to you by the IT Department which enables you log into the Portal for the first time. Details of how to access the Web Portal via SMS is also given below.

Trust Email: Trust Blackberry can be used to receive email messages containing Secure ID

Token Code for user access into the remote portal. This works the same way as with the SMS text sent directly to mobile phones. This requires Token code sent to your Trust email via Trust Blackberry already configured for your Trust email. An initial PIN will be issued to you by the IT Department which enables you log into the Portal for the first time.

Note: All methods of accessing the portal require users to create a new PIN at first logon.

Users with the SMS and Email Option must also note that their PIN will be between 4 and 8 characters (Initial or New PIN created)

Key Fob Users:

Enter your Username, Trust User Account Password and RSA passcode’ (the digits on the digital screen) and click ‘Sign In’

The first time you sign on you will be required to create a 4 to 8 character PIN, please follow

SMS/Email Users:

Enter your ‘Username’, ‘Domain Password’ and ‘RSA Authentication’ which is the ‘Initial

given PIN’ and click ‘Sign In’

The first time you sign on you will be required to create a 4 to 8 digit pin, please follow the

instructions on screen. After the pin has been created your password will be (New 4 to 8

digit pin created)

Note: The server requires that you enter an additional token code to verify that your

ACCESSING YOUR REMOTE SERVICES ON PORTAL

If it is the first time logging onto this site from the computer it will prompt you with a

warning as below, click “continue” to install a Juniper Client component. Ensure that Pop-up blocker is enabled – refer to FAQ for details.

Click Install to run Juniper Component as below:

Upon successful logon, users will be presented with the following web page.

Now you can choose from the ‘Web Bookmarks’ to go to Titan (Chelwest Intranet), Access

to Clinical Applications (Citrix published applications) and OWA (Outlook Web Access –

Email).

While choosing “Access to Clinical Applications” gives you web page below:

When logging in again you may receive this message below. This means you did not logout properly last time and your session still exists. This is not a problem so just Click ‘Continue the session’ to carry on login.

Notice the toolbar near the top of the webpage. This is the Juniper Control panel. Use this to help you navigate.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION

Question: How can I get started?

Answer: logon to the website https://remote.chelwest.nhs.uk on page 2 and follow the instruction outlined in this guide using your method of accessing the portal.

Question: How can I logon, my password is not logging me in?

Answer: Ensure that you are using the right password according to this guide. Personal

Identification Number (PIN) is the Initial 4 to 8-Digit PIN given to User or the 4 to 8 -Digit PIN Set by user. Trust Password is the User Trust Login Password. This guide provides the

meaning of Password at every usage.

Question: How can I get the application I require?

Answer: If you cannot access the application you require from the Application Portal or you

cannot find the application on the list of application you can access, you will need to log a call with the IT Service Desk with your Manager’s permission for you to access such Applications.

Login Details example:

1. Key Fob: from the diagram below with 449 054

First Time Login RSA Authentication = 449054 (From Key Fob)

Subsequent RSA Authentication is = your newly created 4 to 8 Digit PIN (****) and 449054 (From Key Fob)

2. SMS User:

RSA Authentication = Initial PIN given to you by IT

Subsequent RSA Authentication is = your newly created 4 to 8 Digit PIN

Question: How can I get Citrix client on my PC?

Answer: Download and install from the link below http://www.citrix.com/downloads/

Question: What browsers are allowed to be used for accessing the remote portal on PCs/Laptops?

Answer: Internet Explorer – IE7, IE8, IE9, IE10 (unofficial but working IE11) Firefox – 3 to 25

Safari (OSX only) – Safari 5, 5.1, 6 (unofficial but working 7.0)

Question: What operating system is supported on the system?

Answer: Windows - Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 (Unofficial but working Windows 8.1)

Apple OSX – 10.6 Snow Leopard, 10.7 Lion, 10.8 Mountain Lion, (Unofficial but working 10.9 Maverick)

Answer: Ensure that Java applet is up to date and that the settings for the Java control panel
