or other similar relationship. The status of these relationships for state purposes may vary based on the applicable state

law. Transamerica intends to administer variable annuity contracts consistent with the IRS rulings until further notice. Please

contact a qualified tax advisor prior to purchasing to discuss how exercising spousal continuation benefits under this

contract or any riders will affect you for both federal and state tax purposes. Please see prospectus for more details.

Variable annuities are long-term tax-deferred vehicles designed for retirement purposes. They offer three main benefits:

tax-deferred treatment of earnings, guaranteed death benefit options, and guaranteed lifetime payout options.

Death Benefit Options

The policy owner selects, at the time of purchase, one of

the following three death benefit options:

1) Policy Value or Cash Value = The greater of the

policy value, cash value, or minimum required cash

value as of the date we receive due proof of death

and election of a method of settlement. Annual

0.55% (M&E&A), assessed daily.

2) Return of Premium = Premiums paid less any

adjusted partial withdrawals as of the date of death.

Annual 0.60% (M&E&A), assessed daily.

3) Annual Step-Up = Highest policy value on the issue

date or any policy anniversary, plus premiums, and

less adjusted partial withdrawals that occur after the

anniversary with the highest value. Step-ups stop at

age 81. Issue age 0 – 75. Annual 0.75% (M&E&A),

assessed daily.

Death benefits are only effective prior to annuitization and

are subject to other conditions. Death benefit proceeds

are taxable to the beneficiary. The adjustments due to

partial withdrawals will reduce the death benefit amount

in direct proportion, or dollar for dollar, to the percentage

the policy value was reduced, assuming the policy value

is less than the death benefit value. This can increase the

amount deducted from the death benefit to be more than

the amount withdrawn.

All guarantees are subject to the claims-paying ability of Transamerica Premier Life Insurance Company.

Variable annuities are subject to investment risk, including possible loss of principal. The policy value, death benefit, and

other values will fluctuate based on the performance of the investment options and may be worth more or less than the total

of all premiums paid when surrendered.

The investment options listed are available for purchase through Advisor’s Edge. These investment options are not the same as certain mutual funds with similar names that are sold directly to the public. Even though the investment subaccounts and the mutual funds with similar names may have similar or the same investment objectives, policies, and/or managers, their investment performance will be different.

u All TA Investment options are held within the Transamerica Series Trust – Initial Class, which is an investment advised by Transamerica Asset Management, Inc.

The following are some of the risks that may be associated with the Advisor’s Edge Variable Annuity subaccounts.

Please see the contract prospectus and underlying fund prospectus for the specific risks associated with each subaccounts.

• The ability of the fund to achieve its objective depends largely on the performance of the underlying fund in which it invests. Each underlying fund’s performance, in turn, depends on the particular securities in which that underlying fund invests. Total expenses associated with the fund may be higher than with other mutual funds.

• Asset allocation, an investing strategy of dividing money among many types of investments, can help investors manage risk but cannot guarantee a profit or guard against loss.

• A portfolio that concentrates all or large portion of its assets in a single economic sector or geographic region, or that lacks diversity, is inherently subject to greater volatility.

• This fund’s investment strategy is intended to smooth out investment performance spikes. Performance gains may not be as strong as might be available in benchmark indices or comparable funds not using volatility controls.

• An investment in money market portfolios is neither insured nor guaranteed by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation or any other government agency. Although money market portfolios seek to preserve the value of your investment at $1.00 per share, it is possible to lose money by investing in these portfolios.

• Securities rated below investment grade generally entail greater market, credit, and liquidity risks than investment grade securities.

• Investing in real estate poses certain risks related to overall and specific economic conditions, credit risk, and interest rate fluctuations, as well as risks related to an individual property due to extended vacancies and uninsured damage losses from natural disasters.

• Risks of a portfolio may be greater due to the smaller size of the companies in which it invests. The small company stocks tend to be more volatile and less liquid than general equity markets.

• Investing internationally, globally, or in emerging markets exposes investors to additional risks and expenses such as changes in currency rates, foreign taxation, and differences in auditing and other financial standards not associated with investing domestically.

• Please keep in mind that a U.S.-backed Government Fund guarantee applies only to the timely payment of principal and interest and does not remove market risks when shares are redeemed.

• Exchange traded funds (ETFs) generally present the same risks as an investment in a conventional fund that has the same investment objectives, strategies, and policies. The market price of an ETF’s shares may be above or below the shares’ net asset value, and an active trading market for an ETF’s shares may not develop or be maintained. As with all investment options, the underlying portfolio pays commissions and trading fees when it buys and sells securities and may be illiquid due to limited trading. In addition, investors pay management fees of the ETFs in which the underlying portfolio invests.

• Vanguard, the ship logo, and Vanguard ETFs are trademarks of The Vanguard Group. Vanguard is the manager of the underlying ETFs in the TA Vanguard ETF Index investment options.
